I woke up from my hasty sleep, completely ruined.
My bones hurt to the marrow and I felt emotionally drained.
Dammit, I have to get up for work.
I think this is the first time since two years that I wished I had just some free time to rest more.
This is your punishment for ruining your health and body and probably brain cells all this time.
I sighed.
I sigh a lot.
I sighed again thinking about the fact that I sighed a lot.
I was about to sigh again but I slapped myself mentally.
Just effing get up, I thought.
I got ready for work and ate breakfast.
I grabbed my phone, and headed out of the house.
On my way to office, I listened to some music to fill my mind with something.
I couldn't stop thinking about what I did last night..

I pick up my phone and linger over your number.
Do it.
Don't do it.
Do it, it's okay.
Don't do it.
Nothing will happen. Just try.
Don't think about it.
And I did it.
I texted you.
I kept checking my phone every two minutes. No reply.
Did you change your number?
Of course, dummy.
Which idiot other than you would keep the same phone number, so deaparate for them to text you one day?
Yeah. No one other than me.
Frustrated at my stupidity, I left the phone on the kitchen counter and went to bed.

Today was just like any other working day, it was boring, but busy, so I didn't think it was be that bad.
I couldn't even focus on my work. My anxiety over whether or not you've answered my text is going to kill me right now.
I can't get caught with my phone during work; that'll totally ruin everything I've planned to achieve a promotion.
Sighing, I asked myself to wait just a little but more till lunch time- which came fast and ended just as fast- and yet, no answer.
I think you changed your number.
I lost all hope in meeting you again.
I ran to the bathroom and splashed my face with some cold water to stop my leaking tear ducts.
It's time to move on. You have to. You're only hurting yourself like this. They wouldn't wait for you for two years just like you did. They're probably even married by now. You never know. They probably already have someone they love. You're the only human soul stupid enough to wait for someone for so long- knowing you might never see them again.
I inhaled a deep breath, and went to go on with my day, which again, ended fast, and I found myself at home again.
