45 minutes before kidnap ...
Noel’s POV
“White Russian. Extra Kahlúa, extra cream.” I said clearly to the bartender, who nodded and began to prepare the cocktail in front of me. I sighed as I watched, not quite impressed. I once had sex with a bartender, and it was … as messy as the cocktail he had prepared for me at that time. Not to mention I was shaking from my orgasm quite violently, too, just like one would shake a Manhattan Dry. Well, bartenders’ habits die hard, even outside the club.
When my White Russian was ready, I tasted it and slightly smiled in content. It was good, I must admit. I might have to order another one soon. I looked around and frowned when I didn’t see the person I was waiting for.
Huh, now when I think about it, I might have to order a third WR, seeing that Michael was nowhere to be found. And to think that I was supposed to stay at home today and enjoy Doctor Who with Aiden …
Let me think, who made me change my mind again? Who made me come to Steamy Love for the sake of some goddamn pictures and audio? Oh, right. Cassie.
I slowly massaged my temples, remembering the way she persuaded me to come here and wait for that punk. I bet he was mad at me, even though it was Aiden who beat him up. She had told me that Aiden was currently at a club, singing, and that he would be very late tonight. I countered, saying that he guaranteed he’ll make it in time, yet Cassie insisted that he won’t, after which she told me now was the perfect time to go to a club called Steamy Love and meet with Michael. I asked if he’s recovered from the beating Aiden gave him, but she said he was fine and that he wanted to meet me urgently.
I’ve no idea in which club was my lover singing, but as I came in Steamy Love, I couldn’t help but feel his scent in the air. Then again, he wasn’t the only one using Clive Christian No. 1 Pure Perfume for Men, right? Right.
After waiting for a while, I had ordered a third White Russian. I had no idea what time it was, and I wanted to check with my phone, but as I searched for it in my pockets, I realized I forgot it at home. God, this can’t get any worse. I could’ve taken it and played some games while that jerk came …
“Missed me?” Someone asked and I shivered, looking up only to see it was Michael. Dear Lord, he finally came.
“I thought you weren’t coming.” I mumbled, feeling slightly intoxicated from the alcohol in the cocktails I had drank. This was enough to make my mouth slightly loose.
“Oh, I was here all along.” He purred, making my cheeks feel weird. Was Michael flirting with me, or did the alcohol made it all sound oh so dirty?
I shook my head and finished my third cocktail, ready to order another one, when the man’s hand stopped mine in mid-air.
“Let me.” He looked at the bartender and they both exchanged some sort of mischievous looks, after which his eyes met mine and I looked away. His eyes weren’t twinkling like the way Aiden’s did … And it just felt weird. I realized just now that no man had the eyes Aiden had. No man had these shimmering, golden irides which shone in such a mesmerizing, warm way.
I quietly sighed and took the fourth WR, drinking it to swallow down the sudden nostalgia that engulfed me. I just … wanted to go home. I wanted to get this over with and go home to Aiden. I missed him. I wanted him … I needed him.
His hot body pressing against mine, his hands caressing my butt cheeks, his lips moisturizing my skin … Not to mention those big, golden eyes staring right at me, making me shiver …
