nari avoided everyone else's gaze (something she always did) as she returned to her dorm. she laid on her bed, which was the bottom bunk, and sighed. she looked and scrolled through her phone for a few minutes before she heard a door open in a harsh manner.

which must be yuna.

"nari-ah! i'm gonna hang out with yuri! bye!" and with that, she slammed the door close.

nari wondered how and why she got someone like yuna as her dormmate. for one, their ages were too far apart, as yuna was a '92 liner and nari was mere '97 liner. their personalities collided as well. while yuna only cared for partying and having FAR too much fun with her sister, nari simply enjoyed studying more than anyone else.

speaking of studying, she needs to study because these last few days were spent with her groaning, most likely on the floor, because of yugyeom and bambam's stupidity.

seriously, they were very dumb.

at this point and time, she was too tired to care about anything else but studying. the constant ringing of her phone caused by the groupchat had her mute the groupchat, which was something she suspected chunbao to do the day she was invited to the group.

or maybe not, because she always seems to be there, just not replying to anything.

oh well, she doesn't know and right now she doesn't want to. all she wanted to do, was to clear her mind by plugging in her earphones to play music, lock the doors since she knows yuna(-eonni) will end up at her sister's dorm, and study. study until her brain bleeds from her ears, whatever she doesn't care.

there she was, humming to the tune of do better. to be honest, there were quite a handful amount of idols at that college. of course, because seoul national university is part of SKY university, 'and somehow everyone in that group chat got in'.

you read that kind of weirdly, though. idols, as in, idols in your life. role models. idols, as in, more known in economy and politics, compared to idols in entertainment and music. idols like, the CEO and chairman of samsung, kwon oh-hyun-- ok she needs to stop now before it gets any worse.

thankfully for her, studying makes time pass quicker than any other activity she could do, which is exactly what she needs because she just wants to get dinner. because candy and cereal is NOT an appropriate dinner. (she's looking at YOU, yuna)

you know what is, though?

JUNK FOOD.

nari, while still having her earphones plugged to her ears, changed her clothes (which were only her pants) and quietly unlocked the door. it wasn't that late, only 7.45PM, and the gates only close when it's 12.45AM until 5.30AM. she checked the hour, and locked the door.

she walked to the nearest junk food restaurant, that being mcdonalds. even though she doesn't seem like a massive fan of junk food, she is and she likes the surprise in people's eyes when she mentions the fact that she has tried mcdonalds on every country she has visited. (though she has only been to 3 countries, including south korea, the menu differs from country to country. and the line between something to be proud of and worried about when eating every meal from at least 5 mcdonalds in each country is seriously blurry)

"nari-ah!" the cashier greeted, making her smile. "care for the usual, or would you like something different?" byeongho, the cashier, asked but he already knew the answer. nari just nodded, signalling she wanted the usual, and she usually just nodded whenever she wanted the usual (which is a triple cheeseburger combo, sized up, plus chicken bites), so byeongho quickly caught up with her gestures.

"the usual for nari, coming right up!" byeongho shouted the order to the cooks behind him. nari then exited the line, and entered a different line for her order. when she walked up to the counter, the person behind it smiled. "are you eating here, or is it to-go?" she asked.
