"I think I know who did this.." Cedric spoke up.
"Who?" Detective McFadden looked at him taking out his pen and pad, giving full attention.
"Bella." He said. "She told me. He was hitting on her and she snapped.." He lied.
"You a lie." Brooke shook her head, tears streaming from her face.
"It's true." He said with a serious look on his face but unsure on the inside.
He had to throw Bella under the bus because she never gave him a chance.
"I'll work closely with the Forensics to see who's DNA was lastly on Boomer." McFadden nodded his head.
He was happy that he was gonna work a new case and eventually put the killer behind bars.
McFadden had been working murders for over thirty years, and he was the best at the agency so this wasn't going to be hard.
"I'll tell you guys the results, whenever." He said as everyone was silent.
Cedric knew it was Bella's DNA so he was good.
Brooke shook her head not believing it. She knew her sister, there was more to this story than told.
"Excuse me." Cedric walked off quickly making the detective furrow his eyebrows.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit." He pulled out his phone and called his older cousin, Taj.
She opened the back slide door and walked off to where he was sure no one was listening.
"Speak." Taj said and Cedric scrunched up his face.
"Do you always have to answer the phone lik-"
"Nigga talk, I'm in the middle of something." Taj explained.
"Man the feds came here talkin' bout Boomer and I told them Bella did it. Where she at? She dead right?" He asked, scratching his neck.
"You what!" Taj yelled making Cedric's ears ring and his heart rate speed up.
"I said that Bella did it.." He repeated feeling intimidated by his older cousin.
"She ain't dead you fucking idiot! She at my house! Now they gone investigate this shit and it's all yo fuckin' fault!" Taj yelled wanting to kill his cousin.
This wasn't the first time Cedric almost got him in trouble or almost arrested.
"I didn't know that." He simply said.
"Oh my God, you stupid ass! Meet me in Alabama." He said before hanging up the phone.
"Fuck." Cedric sighed. "What the fuck have I done?" He asked himself retorically.
