Be my date?

A/N- This is how I imagine how Doug asked Evie to the Royal Cotillion.

Cotillion. That was the only thing Evie heard all week. The Royal Cotillion was only a few weeks away when her best friend, Mal would officially become Lady of the Court.

So far out of the Rotten Four, Mal was the only one who has a date. Jay wasn't planning on asking anyone and Carlos obviously didn't have the guts to ask anyone to be his date. Then there was Evie, her and Doug weren't exactly official yet. But everyone knew there was something going on between them. The blue haired girl secretly hoped that Dopey's son would ask her soon.

There she was behind Mal who fitting her almost finished gown for the Cotillion. The purpled haired girl looked like a princess, way different from the girl in Isle months ago.

"M?" Evie said behind her best friend. "How do you like it so far?"

Mal looked at herself up and down the mirror. The dress wasn't finished, there was still some pins on it but it still looked amazing. A smile slowly crept on her face, "I love it."

"You do?" said Evie, "Well I think Ben would to." A smirk formed on her face while Mal began to blush. The blue haired girl started adjusting some things on the gown.

"You really think Ben will like this?" Mal asked her, but Evie was just staring at the back of her dress. Not paying attention to her best friend.

"E?" No answer

"Um. Evie?" Mal turned around movie her hand up and down in front Evie's face.

"Earth to Evie?" She said shaking her best friend's shoulders. That got Evie to snap out of her thoughts.

"Huh? Sorry what?" She said finally looking at Mal.

"Okay what's up with you? You've been like this ever since the news of the Cotillion." Mal replied with a concerned look crossed her features.

"It's just" Evie paused and sat down at the edge of her bed. "It's only a few weeks till the Cotillion and Doug hasn't asked me yet." A small pout began to form on her face. Mal hopped off the platform she was standing on and sat next to Evie.

"Maybe he didn't know that the Cotillion is in a few weeks?" Mal suggested hoping to make her best friend feel better. But Evie doubted it, knowing Doug would've known since that's all everyone talks about. Instead of making a comment, she gave the daughter of Maleficent an appreciative smile.

Evie was studying for her upcoming chemistry test in the courtyard when she heard a small giggle behind her. She turned around to see one of the girls from the cheer team get asked out by a boy to the Cotillion. It seems that Evie was the only one who isn't getting asked yet.

Sighing, she got up heading towards her dorm only to find a beautiful blue rose on the ground. She picks it up to find more roses, almost like they were leading a trail.

The daughter of Evil Queen followed the trail, she was tempted to find out what the roses led to. She kept following it to what seemed like a garden.

Evie gasped and dropped her chemistry books and the roses in her arms at the beautiful sight ahead of her. There on the ground was a bunch of roses that spelled out:

BE MY DATE?

She looked up to see Doug standing in the middle of the garden. A shy smile on his face while his hands were fidgeting in his pockets. Evie squeaked and then ran to Doug and gave him a big hug, almost knocking the poor boy over.

"Sorry I didn't asked earlier. I didn't have the guts to ask you. Well till Jay and Carlos threatened to shave my head while I was sleeping if I didn't ask you sooner."

Evie chuckles softly, "Now. We can't have that can we?"

"So, is that a yes?" He asked in her ear, wrapping his arms around the Blue haired girl.

"I would love to be your date to the Cotillion." Evie whispered and then kissed his cheek.

Two days later after Doug asked her to be his date they went on a picnic/study date on the same garden he asked her to be his date on."

"Doug?" The boy hummed in response, "What are we?"

"What do you mean?" he asked with worry forming on face.

"I mean." She paused for a moment, not sure what to say next, "Everyone seems to think that we're a thing. I just wanted to know, are we? You know. Dating?"

Doug scooted closer and his face started becoming red, which Evie found was adorable. "Well I guess I never really asked you but. Evie would you like to be my girlfriend?"

She smiled and pecked his cheek and said, "Yes."

A/N- So, I know that the one shots would be after Descendants 2 would end but I couldn't help but wonder how Doug asked Evie to the Cotillion so I wrote this. Feel free to comment, I am open to any suggestions. Peace out :)!
