The day is dark
Smoke filling the air more and more with each passing day
The year 1975 is a dark time for Rose, the day she was officially created. Or the day she was brought back to life.
'Name: Rose Van Getta
Date of birth: February 27, 1956
Date of death: November 12, 1975
Age: 19
Brought back: November 25 1975'
Dr.Williams looked through the chart for the billionth time today, it's been 4 months since Rose's heart started beating again. Not understanding why she hasn't opened her eyes yet.
What he didn't realize is she was awake, hearing every little thing happening... and more.
Hearing every footstep taken, every flap of a wing from a bird outside, every explosion from across the country.
Feeling a small sting from her left arm, she knew he was taking blood again.
Scared she wanted to wake up, yet her eye lids were too heavy. Weights kept her eyes closed, the beeping sound next to her became erratic. Dr.Williams tried stabilizing the patient only to make it worse.
Rose wanted to get out. She was trapped in darkness with no way out.
Or so she thought.
"Maybe you should let this continue" Nurse Collet interfered earning a frown from Dr.Williams.
"She's not waking up due to the medication. Shock might just be the key to wake her up" she sat down next to Dr.Williams as they watched her heartbeat continue to beat rapidly.
Rose was screaming, shouting, hoping anyone would hear her. A nightmare kept her hidden away.
Something slithered against her hand, a cloth covered her mouth, her legs tied together. Feeling warm liquid run down her face, in front of her, a rose.
An hour has passed her heart beat didn't decrease. A miracle happened, she fluttered her eyes open. Tears clouded her eyes, blinking rapidly nurse Collet walked over to her.
"Shhh... it's ok, your safe" Rose watched the nurse carefully, watching her every move.
Dr.Williams walked over to her looking at her, she was beautiful.
Her ginger hair was long, framing her face perfectly. Her deep chocolate brown eyes, and her rosy (A/N: I need to stop using the word rose 😂) lips. A body as girls would say it, to die for.
She looked scared, like she could die any second again. Speaking of, she started looking confused, first looking at her long legs, arms, hands. How was she here?
"W-what happened?" She was able to croak out. Her voice raspy, never the less, soft and gentle.
"You fell down the stairs breaking your neck. You died for a few weeks, till Dr.Williams saved you" Nurse Collet said in a whisper.
Rose looking at Dr.Williams, he wasn't the worst looking.
He was tall, lean and build. His exquisite jaw line, his emerald green eyes and his hair the fell in front of his face. Every girl would be chasing after him, no doubt.
"We'll answer questions tomorrow, for now, let me introduce myself. I'm Dr.Williams and this is Nurse Collet. We've been with you these past few months. Your neck was severely damaged, as were a few of your ribs." His voice, low and rough yet a sense of warmth gave comfort to Rose.
She nodded, still not understanding why she wasn't 6 feet underground right now. How did he bring her back? It wouldn't be possible if the conditions were true. A broken neck and a few ribs.
She sat up, getting dizzy from all the blood that rushed down. Shaking her head, she looked at nurse Collet for a bit of help.
Understanding right away she stood up holding out her hand for Rose to take. Once she did her legs touched the ground for the first time in 4 months. Wobbling with every step Dr.Williams put his arms on either shoulder holding her up right.
After a few moments practicing she got the hang of it again, still tripping over her feet here and there. She sat back down looking around the room.
Finding her eye sight was better than before, actually, better than anyones. She saw the little dust specs on the table, the little hairs on the carpet, the smallest hole in the side of the wall. Her eyebrows scrunched up and frowned a bit.
"Are your eyes like mine too?" She asked out of the blue.
Collet looked at Dr.Williams with wide eyes. His face stayed the same and nodded in understanding.
"Questions will be answered tomorrow. Right now, I need to know what you remember before you... erm, died." Rose didn't like her question being brushed off but let it go (A/N: let it go! Can't hold it back anymore!) as long as it gets answered tomorrow.
"Well... I don't remember much. Only that there was a huge explosion as I walked down the stairs" Dr.Williams stiffened visibly only making Rose more curious.
Sighing she stood up again and walked towards the window, the sun was hidden like it has been for the last 3 years. When the war broke out, smoke of gun, bullet, bomb and clothing factories began working harder and harder.
Nurse Collet picked up a piece of paper and pencil, walking over to rose and giving it to her. Rose not understanding her hint taking it anyway.
"I heard you liked to draw. Why not make one for us?" Rose simply nodded and the pencil flowed on the paper.
1 hour later she placed the paper to the window and sighed. Trying to block out the rest of the room she focused on the paper. Buildings were up right, birds were flying, the sun was shining bright.
"It's how I remember the world before" she broke the silence.
Dr.Williams looked at the paper carefully, she was talented in many ways. Her drawing was drawn almost perfectly, every line, every shape, every detail. (Dr.Williams is 23 years old Btw, and Collet 21)
Dr.Williams sighed and watched Rose as she looked outside at the burning, broken down buildings. Wondering, did he choose the right girl to do this? It was a dangerous task and she was so fragile and sensitive. He knew that this would be the start of something new (it's the start of something new, it feels so right, to be here with you ohhh. And now looking in your eyes... ok, I'll stop)

A/N: I hope you enjoyed my first chapter!
I promise the next ones will be longer I swear! It's late and I had to write this in a bit of a rush.
Anyway,
What do you think?
Did Dr.Williams choose the right person?
