What if things were different. What if we had no stereo types. If we all looked the same, would it be easier to fit in? Easier to make friends, or find love? Doesn't it sound perfect? A world with no judgement...
I thought so, too. Until I really started thinking. If everyone was nice, how would you find out who your "true friends" are? Without the call for someone willing to be strong enough for two when you're too broken to go on, but they won't let you give up. Without the bullying and judgement needed to see who would make you smile even at your lowest point? You wouldn't find your true friends. And how would you find love? Without sadness and pain how would you find someone willing to stand by your side through your darkest days, so they can bask in the light of your brightest. Simple: you wouldn't.
With sunshine all year, there would be no flowers. The most beautiful things appear because of some of the ugliest, most brutal times.
