"Okay, class

"Okay, class. Now that everyone has moved, I will tell you about the project." She paused for a bit to grab a packet from off her desk.

"You will agree on a society based topic and put together a presentation on your thoughts about it. There has to be at least 50 slides. You will have 3 months to work on it. You will have time in class to work on it as well."  With that, she sat down at her desk and the classroom filled with chatter.

"So...what should our topic be?"  I heard Jin speak up. I just looked down playing with my fingers. Another thing about me is that I don't really like talking. I've had a stuttering problem for as long as I can remember. I was made fun of for the longest time because of it, so I just stopped talking, which is why everyone knows me as the quiet boy.

"Can you talk?" I nodded.

"Is there something wrong?" At that moment, it was like a light bulb turned on in my head. I bent over to reach for my small Kumamon themed backpack and retrieved a piece of paper, that had little pictures of kumamon on it. As you can clearly tell, I adore Kumamon.

Fumbling a little with the pencil, I began writing. Jin sat there with a confused look on his face but watched as I messily scribbled out a sentence on the Kumamon themed sheet. When I was finished, I folded it up and handed him the sheet of paper. I observed quietly as he opened it and began to read it.

"I don't talk because I stutter. Please don't hate me."

He looked at me seriously before speaking, "Why would I hate you because you stutter?"

I looked back down and continued playing with my fingers, shrugging my shoulders. As soon as I did, I felt two fingers under my chin lifting my head up, forcing me to look up.

"I would never hate you." He smiled then clapped his hands.

"Now it's time to brainstorm."
