When we walked inside, I could see my drugged up mother crying on the living room couch.

"You shouldn't have done that. You shouldn't have done that. He'll hurt us all. He'll hurt us all." She repeated while rocking back and forth, shaking vigorously.

Jin stared at her for a little bit, then pushed me towards the stairs while telling me to lead the way to the designated area.

When we got to the door, I placed my hands upon the cold handle, slowly twisting it open. The door revealed the room that was all too familiar to me.

The stained blue walls, worn out twin-sized bed with black sheets, decorated with kumamon stuffies my nana bought me when she was still alive. I miss her to the max. She, at the time, was one of the only people that accepted me.

Jin looked around, sadness filled his eyes.

"I'm am so glad that I'm getting you out of here." He murmured mostly to himself rather than to me.

"Ahah!" I turned to see him holding up a spare cardboard box that looked big enough to fit everything that I wanted or needed in the room.

Jin helped me pack all my stuffies, the little bit of clothes that I had in my closet, all my coloring books and crayons, my personal wear, etcetera.

Within half an hour we were already done and made our way out the house. My mother was still in the same position she was in. The drugs noticeably worn off.

"I will miss you Yoonie, I love you a lot. I may not be in the best condition but just know I always wanted what's best for you. You'll be safe with that boy." I smiled slightly at my mothers words.

In that moment, I had realized she really wasn't the problem. It my father. He always had my mom all drugged up and left in such a vulnerable state she couldn't do anything but rock back in forth in a corner.

"I love you too mom." With that Jin and I walked out the front door, stepping over my still unconscious father.
