A couple of hours later...
Yuri was pacing in the small waiting room that he had been taken to. There still hadn't been any news and he was starting to get worried.
Sitting down on one of the chairs, he let out an exhausted sigh and rested his forehead against his hands that he had clasped together. "Please...don't let it be the cancer...anything but that..."
Just as he was mumbling the words to himself, he heard his name come over the intercom and he instantly stood up, waiting for instructions on where to go.
"Yuri Katsuki, please head to room #113 on the first floor."
As soon as he got his bearings and knew where he had to go, the raven haired male started to run down the hallway. As soon as he reached the room, he noticed a doctor standing outside, with a rather confused look on his face.
Trying to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat, Yuri felt his heart start to pound against the inside of his chest.
"Ah, are you, Yuri Katsuki?"
"Yes, I am. Have you found out what's wrong with him?"
"Yes..and no...."
"Huh? What does that even mean?"
"It means that we have found something rather odd, and at the same time, something that explains what is happening to him."
Yuri blinked, incredibly confused at this point.
"Look here. What does this look like to you?" The doctor stepped up to Yuri and showed him the results of the ultrasounds that he had taken.
Yuri blinked a few more times, still feeling rather confused. "Isn't that a..."
"Yes. It seems that there is a fetus growing inside of him."
"Wha...but...how is that even..."
"How is it possible? I haven't the slightest idea. Men do not have the right organs in order to reproduce, but this fetus has shown up out of nowhere and it appears to be completely healthy."
Yuri stood there in complete shock, not sure of what he should do or say.
"I am going to book appointments for you to come and see me once a week, since we are not entirely sure about what this means. Please see the receptionist on the way out to get the appointment card."
All the raven haired male could do was nod, still not fully comprehending what was going on.

Stepping into the older male's room, Yuri noticed that he was sleeping rather soundly, much like he had been before.
Walking up to the side of his bed, the ravenette sat on the hospital bed and let out a relieved sigh. It hadn't been the cancer. There were literally no words to describe how relieved he felt at the moment.
Memories of when the other male had been incredibly sick crossed his line of vision and he flinched. It had been so hard to watch the man he loved struggle like that and the worst thing was that he couldn't do anything. All he had been able to do was just be his support.

"Viktor, wake up. We have to go back home."
"Hm?"
Watching as the other started to wake up, Yuri could tell how tired he was.
"Come on, I'll help you get dressed."
Once Yuri had helped his lover get dressed, he put Viktor's arm around his shoulder and helped him from the room. He was far too drowsy to tell him now, so he'd wait until the following day.

The following morning...
Viktor was throwing up in the bathroom and Yuri was there as well, holding back his long bangs.
"We have another appointment with the doctor in a week. He said he wants to do check ups every week."
"Why would he want that?"
His voice sounded very weak after just throwing up and the older male yawned tiredly.
"I decided to wait and tell you this when you were awake, but-"
"Has it came back? It has, hasn't it? I knew I wouldn't be able to go long before-"
"The doctor said there's a fetus growing inside of you."
Viktor fell silent and looked up at Yuri, who started to help him to his feet.
They left the bathroom and started back to their bedroom, which wasn't too far.
"I don't understand..."
"A fetus is-"
"I know what it is, Yuri! You don't need to explain it to me!" Biting his lip, the male regretted the words as soon as he spoke them. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that..."
"I know, it's fine. You're probably dealing with a lot of emotions right now. You're tired, so I think it's best if you just rest for today."
Viktor started to climb into the bed and nodded. "I am tired..."
Feeling Yuri's soft lips against his forehead, a faint blush dusted itself across his cheeks. "Does this mean that my wish came true?"
"It certainly looks that way." Yuri chuckled and started to cover the other male up, making sure he was warm enough.
"I'm so happy. I'll be able to have a little Yuri." Yawning softly, a smile fell across Viktor's features. "He's going to be perfect."
Wrapping his arms around his stomach underneath the covers, Viktor fell asleep and for the first time in what seemed like forever, he was incredibly happy.
