I waited till everyone left to class. I didn't know what I was thinking but I went searching for that new kid. I searched for him everywhere. Something was just so intriguing about that kid.
''Weird is not good...."the voice echoed in my brain.
''Just for once..." I told myself.
I ran as fast as I could, making sure that no one would notice me. The mistress was really merciless, so we had to behave, if we wanted to not be punished. And punishment is bad.
Punishment is bad.
But why do we get punished? Isn't it normal to repeat mist- "BOO!!!"
I jumped. When I turned around, I saw that boy. "You always talk to yourself or something?" he asked. "That's weird.""I am not weird." I replied and tried to sound as calm as I can.
"You don't have to lie. I knew you were searching for me." He stared at me and smirked. "What? Do I look funny to you or something?"
He laughed. "I'm Richard. Call me Richie."
"I'm Cle-" "You're Clementine. I know." he interrupted. I stared at him. "You're really weird you know?" I told him. He burst out laughing. "Of course I am. And so are you."
"What makes you think I am weird?" I asked.
"Because you are the only one who wanted to talk to me." he grinned.
"I thought you were lonely." I looked away. "Whatever. Come on. I can see you are bored. I got loads of stuff to show you!" he grabbed me by my hand and ran. "What if we get caught? Its dangerous!" I sounded scared. Of course I was scared. A strange boy named Richie wanted to show me something new. Strange is bad. And new is bad. I don't want to get in trouble. But I was bored at the same time. I wanted to do something different. Even though it's bad, I wanted to do something.....different.
"Don't worry. I know this place where no one's there. Trust me. It will be fun!" He gave that mischievous grin. There was something about him. His smile, his hair, his freckles, his attitude....everything.
"Okay." I agreed. Both of us ran.
Fun. It's been a long time since I heard that. In fact, I've never specifically used that term before. Probably because I never had fun before. Probably because I was scared. But right now, I was bored. I wanted to do something different.Yeah. Lets do something different........
