We ran as fast as we could. It's been a long time since I ran this fast. I felt tired. My legs were about to go numb. We managed to not get caught by mistress.
"Richard-" "Richie." He cut me off.
"Richie, if the mistress catches us, things will go bad!" I exclaimed.
"Oh, gee. My bad. Didn't think about that." He panted.
"Richie!" I started to get exhausted. I really wanted to stop. But he wouldn't let go of my arm. "I'm getting exhausted, Richie. Are we there yet?"
He stopped. We reached this abandoned worn down house. There was no one anywhere. "Yep. We're here."
"In the middle of nowhere?" I started getting panicky. Obviously, I'm experiencing new things. But even though it felt scary, strangely, it felt exciting. I've never felt excitement before.
"Welcome, to my secret sanctuary. Come on, the others are going to be here any minute." And he crawled underneath a big hole near the window. "Why not we use the door?" I asked.
"Because, the door is locked."
"Who has the keys?"
"Someone."
"Oh boy...." And I crawled in.
If I were caught, I would be in serious trouble. Many thoughts ran over my head. What is the owner returns? What if someone told the mistress about us running from the school compound? What if our-
"Clem, are you okay?" I suddenly got back to my senses. Richie grinned.
"Welcome aboard, and say hello to my mates. Sorry I'm late. Got our self a new recruit."
