Nerdy and Nice

Chapter 13

Elena's POV

     It had been an entire year. Adyson had moved, I lost touch with Savannah and Ashley. Last I heard Ashley and Liam got together. My senior year of High School was coming up really fast.

     There was two weeks left of summer when I met Laney. She was new to the town. She had waist length hair that was brown with blond highlights. We clicked immediately. We had the same interests and I felt like she was a better friend than Adyson, Savannah, and Ashley ever were.

     I still wish things turned out different with them, but what happened happened and I can't change that. Laney and I spent the entire summer together. Or at least what was left of it. We returned to South Beach High with a fresh perspective.

Niall's POV

An entire year had passed. The summer was eventful to say the least. I had gotten contacts. I had finally traded up. I started working out and stuff like that. I still like Elena.

     Two weeks before school started I saw her walking around the town with a new girl. She was pretty. Before anyone says anything, no I did not change myself so Elena would like me. I changed for me. Why should I pine after someone if I didn't like me? She was still gorgeous. To be honest I knew she would never like me, but I am okay with that.

     My two weeks were up it was time to return to South Beach High.
