Helena wakes up to the sound of an annoying alarm clock, which she hears is turned off immediately with a loud thud. She smirks as she returns to sleep.

"Lena, wakey wakey." Evie says, shaking the girl slightly.

Helena refuses to wake up, so maybe if she pretends to be in deep sleep, they'll leave her alone and go to class without her. What joy! Her plan would have worked, if it wasn't for Mal pulling her off the bed and letting her fall onto the floor.

"Get up, princey." The purple-haired girl says, grabbing clothes and making her way to the bathroom.

Evie helps her up immediately after Mal closes the door behind her.

"Are you ok? Any bruises? Broken bones?" Evie then gasps, "Chipped nails?!"

Helena checks herself and sees nothing to be afraid of. After Mal finishes, Evie collects her clothes and makes her way to the bathroom.

Helena grabs a jumper-dress (A/N: a jumper but instead of pants it's a skirt) which is covered in roses. She also picks up a red top. When Evie finishes, she heads to the bathroom, takes a shower and freshens up. She puts on her clothes and leaves the bathroom, a mist of steam entering the previously cold room.

"Helena, how do you shower in that heat?" Evie asks, a bit concerned.

Helena just shrugs, making her way to her side of the room. She stuffs all her pajamas into her cabinet. She picks up a choker from her drawer and puts it around her neck. She then jumps into her favorite black sneakers (which have heels so it makes her a bit taller).

She heads to the door and opens it, revealing Carlos on the other side, looking as if he's about to knock.

"Oh.. hi!" He says awkwardly.

"Hey." She replies, "Where's Jay?"

"Oh, he's still getting ready. I decided to go ahead and make it to breakfast."

Helena looks back at the two older girls. Mal is reading through her book of spells while Evie is working on her makeup.

Evie notices that Helena is still by the door and says, "It's ok, sweetie, go with Carlos to breakfast, we'll catch up."

Helena nods and walks out the room, closing the door behind her. She sees all the students leave their dorms. Realizing she has no idea where the cafeteria is, and neither does Carlos, she walks up to one of the girls.

"Hi! Uhm, excuse me?" She asks politely, Carlos behind her.

The three girls look at her. One of them has red curly hair and turquoise eyes, the other has black hair which is tied up with a bow and she blue eyes. The third has long blonde hair and brown eyes. They stare at her, looking to her feet and up to her head. They're a bit revolted knowing this is a villain's daughter. Although, the jet black takes a deep breath and let's it all out.

"It's down the hall, and to the left. You'll find a sign that says Cafeteria with an arrow beside it. Follow the direction it's pointing to!" She says kindly, her other two friends look at her in disgust.

"Thanks." Helena says, but before she turns around, she gets called out.

"You're a villain's kid right?" A thick Scottish voice asks. Helena turns her head, she nods. "That's great." Helena can sense the hint of sarcasm, but she brushes it off.

"I'm Melody! Ariel's daughter!" The nice girl tells her.

"I'm Ella, Cinderella's daughter." The blonde adds. Melody looks to the red head and immediately nudges her with her elbow.

"I'm Mira." She says roughly, annoyance in her voice, "Merida's child."

Helena smiles, "I'm Helena, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts." The two girls shudder a bit, but decide to lay it off. This is the daughter afterall, how bad could she be? "Oh, and this is Carlos. Son of Cruella De Vil."

Mira notices the taller boy and smirks, "Well, hello good looking."

Helena suddenly feels a chill down her spine. Carlos waves awkwardly as the red head looks at him with flirty eyes. The boy gives her a face, trying to let her know he's uninterested, but she doesn't seem to be able to read the memo.

Helena clears her throat. Mira looks down, seeing the shorter girl in between them. Mira growls and turns away.

"I'll see you later." She says, returning back to her friends. She winks at Carlos, which only makes him uncomfortable.

Melody and Ella wave to Helena, she waves back smiling. She faces Carlos who looks a bit fazed. She giggles a bit, but he nudges her to stop.

They walk down the hall to the cafeteria.

"That was weird." Carlos says awkwardly, "Honestly, I'm getting a bad aura from that one."

"Tell me about it." Helena replies, "But when you get a girlfriend, you're not gonna forget about me, right???"

She pouts, holding onto the taller boy's arm. Carlos rolls his eyes and rubs the girl's hair, ruining it. She releases him, hissing like a cat.

"Don't worry. I'm honestly not planning on getting a girlfriend." He says, "I mean, I'll have crushes, sure."

"Hey, just because we agreed to be roomates in the future, it doesn't mean you can't find anybody to love!"

"But.." He says reluctantly, "What is love?"

The girl realizes. They don't know. Not even from their own parents, they never felt it. The feeling someone gets when they love someone. Her mom has described it, the feeling you get when you're all warm inside and your heart beats fast and you feel out of words because the person you love leaves you speechless. The feeling of all worries washing away. She always takes her mom's words on love since she is the Queen of Hearts. Although, describing it is different to actually feeling it. Experiencing love for yourself.

Helena removes herself from her thoughts and sees the cafeteria sign. She sees the arrow pointing to the right and without hesitation, she grabs Carlos by the hand and they run down the hall.

They make it to the cafeteria, they take their trays, they're served their food, they find a table and they eat together. It wasn't long until Jay, Evie and Mal join them. When they finish, they remain in the cafeteria talking some more since they still have thirty minutes before classes actually start.

Helena puts one of her hands on the bench, her fingers wrapping around the edge. While she listens to Evie and Jay talk back in forth with insults and names, she feels a cold hand touch hers. She looks down to see Carlos' hand moving closer to hers. Without hesitation, she turns it over and he puts his on top. Their fingers intertwine, their eyes still locked onto the argument their two older friends are having.

They do this once in a while, not as a sign of relationship but as a sign of friendship. They're really close since they're two of the younger ones in the group, so physical contact felt like a normal thing to them. When Carlos asks to hold Helena's hand it usually means he's afraid. Afraid of what, though? Cruella is not with them. Maybe the fear of not being able to grab the wand? Afraid of being a failure to their parents? Afraid of being in a new place full of people who hate who they're related to? That, she'll never know, but what she does know is that Carlos needs someone to hold him right now, and Helena is always there for him.
