TWIN WITCH

Eleanor and Jughead follow different paths later that afternoon, but only after he made sure she would be ok alone. It worries Jughead, the fact that she's too good for her own good and how much that can hurt her. How it is hurting her.

When Eleanor gets home, Betty's already there, sitting on the couch. She focuses on her sister only for a couple of minutes, she's worried about the damage Archie has done to her, because now, well now Ellie understands it, Archie's a heartbreaker.

"Are you ok, Betty?" Ellie asks, worried as always.

"Yes." Betty tries to smile. "I'll be ok."

She sits down next to Betty on the couch, and pulls her sister to her chest. Ellie also feels like giving a big hug to forget everything, especially what Jughead just told her earlier. Somehow, it does hurt her, not really sure why but it does, like a punch in the stomach.

"I love you, Betty." Eleanor mumbles.

"I love you more, Ellie."

And she doesn't doubt it for a second.

The phone in Eleanor's pocket beeps and interrupts the moment the two sisters are having, and they haven't been like this in a long time. When Ellie reaches for it, she reads her bestfriend's name on the screen.

Jughead: Coming to your house.

Betty peeks. "Who is it?"

"Jug."

"You two are ok again?" She straightens with a smile.

"I think so." Ellie nods, a smile on her face as well.

When the Jughead arrives, he doesn't want to get in. Instead, he pulls Eleanor with him to the Andrews' house, much to her dislike and surprise. Jughead wants to tell Archie what they found out, and even though it will hurt Ellie, Jughead wants her to see who Archie really is and how much he really cares for her, and she needs to see it for herself or she will never learn.

Eleanor's pacing back and forth, too nervous to stay still. "Jug, you have to be wrong, ok?" She starts thinking about all kinds of possibilities. "Maybe she slipped, or they bumped into each other while reaching for –."

"Ellie, you're making excuses." Jughead stops her, and sighs. "I'm sorry but Archie's not the kind of guy of one girl only, you should know that by now."

"I didn't –."

"Stop, you can't fool me."

"Guys, what are you doing here?" Archie's voice sounds at their ears, and they turn around to face him, and he's definitely confused to see them here.

"I saw you, Archie." Juggie stands up, he doesn't lose time with games. "With Ms. Grundy."

Eleanor isn't even sure why she's here, but deep down she knows it's because part of her is dying to hear Archie deny it. She wants to make sure the boy she once knew is still there, that it's the same Archie Andrews she has known since she was four.

"Keep your voice down. My Dad's inside." Archie panicks.

Ellie's eyes widened in shock. "Is it true?"

"I –."

"Dude, I'm trying to help you. Be your friend here, even tho we're not anymore." Jughead tells him, and continues with a question. "How long? You and Grundy?"

"Oh, come on, let's all stop pretending we don't know." Eleanor finally snaps, a humorless laugh leaving her lips surprises them. "Since the summer, am I right?"
