Chapter 6: Theo is in Love?

Theo and Bridget met Jackson and Lia at the car.  Lia smiled warmly and gave her a hug and said, "It is so nice to meet you, Bridget!  I am Lia and this is Jackson, my lovable and amazing boyfriend.  I can already tell we are going to be the best of friends!"  Jackson spoke, "Theo has had a little crush on you since that party and his eyes light up when he thinks about you as well. I am glad to meet you."  Theo's cheeks turned crimson and he felt embarrassed but knew Jackson was right, after all, he can't stop thinking about her, not even for a minute. 

He shook his head at Jackson and shot him a playfully glare like, "I can't believe you just said that." He said jokingly, "Jackson is like my little brother and it is his job to embarrass me."  Bridget laughed and said, "It is really great to meet you guys and Lia, I know we will be the best of friends!  Oh, really?  It is ok Theo, I kind of had a crush on you, too!"  She gave Theo a playful wink.  Theo cleared his throat and finally got out, "Shall we go?"  He opened the car door for Bridget while Jackson did so for Lia.  Theo finally relaxed around Bridget after he got over being nervous.

Theo's heart finally felt open after so many years of pain and suffering from his past.  For the first time, he did not want to dull the pain by flirting or kissing other women.  His soul and heart were finally at peace.  It was, thanks to Bridget.  He knew she was different and he was smitten with her.  They got to their place in record time.  Jackson ordered Chinese food while Lia chose the movies they would watch.  This gave Theo and Bridget some time to get to know one another.  Bridget opened up to him about her parents dying in a plane crash a year ago and that she suspected foul play.  Theo added that his parents and girlfriend, Rosie, were murdered.  He told her the guy that did it was still on the loose and that he would stop at nothing to make sure the murderer wouldn't harm anyone else again. 

Theo felt a sense of release after he told her most of the story, excluding the vampire parts.  He decided that he would tell her when the time was right. He was worried how she would react when he revealed that Jackson, Lia, and himself were vampires.  Theo was finally no longer a broken man and he started to feel like himself again, however, stronger and better than before.  They talked about everything under the sun.  It was if he found a missing piece of his soul. They didn't know how truly connected they were because it was just the beginning of something beautiful.  Bridget's dreams were essences of Theo's visions so that means they were soulmates.  Lia and Jackson purposefully gave them extra time to talk when they went upstairs. 

They would come downstairs when the Chinese food arrived. This gave them time to kiss, cuddle, and talk about how happy they were that Theo finally found someone that made him complete again.  Lia and Jackson both thought Bridget was perfect for Theo.  She was kind, sincere, and made Theo beam with happiness.  Jackson kissed his love without taking a breath until he heard the doorbell ring.  He grimaced saying, "Always at the good part!"  Lia giggled and gave him more kisses.  She said, "There is plenty more where that came from, don't you worry!  You can come cuddle with me again while we sleep, Jackson.  I love being in your arms."   Jackson smirked and replied, " I already planned on coming over again." 

They intertwined their hands and went to go eat the Chinese food.  All four of them had a great time laughing, eating, and watching romantic comedy movies.  Theo put his arm around Bridget which made her smile.  In that moment, he felt the urge to kiss her.  While Jackson and Lia were cuddled up and were starting to fall asleep, Theo leaned in and whispered into Bridget's ear, "Can I kiss you?"  She nodded as her cheeks were flushed and he kissed her lips gently.  Their lips were like a perfect fit and the kiss made them both realize that their feelings for each other would never fade.  Theo genuinely smiled after they finished kissing. 

Lia and Jackson were pretending to be sleeping on the couch in each other's arms.  She whispered to Jackson, "That is so very sweet!  Theo doesn't look pained anymore and he is really happy."  Jackson replied, "I knew it would happen one day.  Love, I think we are the sweet and adorable ones."  He gave Lia a kiss and she reciprocated. She agreed with what he said by replying, "You are definitely right, my darling."  Theo and Bridget looked over at them and smiled knowing that they gave them privacy to talk and share their first kiss.  Bridget and Lia made sure to exchange numbers because they planned on having a girl's day sometime soon. 

Theo drove Bridget home since it was getting late.  He walked her to the door and gave her a goodnight kiss.  Theo asked before he lost his nerve, "May I take you out on a date soon?  You have healed my heart and made me believe in love again.  I thank you so much, Bri."  Bridget smiled and said, "Theo, I look forward to you taking me out on a date!  I've never experienced love before and I am glad I could do that for you because you deserve all the happiness in the world." 

Theo said goodnight and when he left, Bridget shut her door and sunk down on the floor.  She thought to herself, "You are something else, Theo Callahan, and I can't wait to get to know you more."  Theo was in the process of driving home when he thought, "Bridget is amazing and I guess I can find love after Rosie.  Jackson was right." Lia was already back at her house. Jackson came through her window again after he talked to Theo.  Theo confessed to Jackson, "I think I am falling in love with Bridget."  Jackson and Lia decided to make every night a tradition of him coming over and cuddling. They felt at peace as they lay in each other's arms.
