The sweet aroma of cookies fills the house. I smiled, as I put my apron on the rack.
"These will be my best (C/F) cookies yet."
"Oh, really?"
I jumped at the voice and spin around to see my best friend... and crush, Atty.
"Geez, did you have to scare me?"
He shrugged. "You've always been easy to scare, (N/N)."
He's not wrong...
"Okay, okay, you got me. Waiting for the cookies?"
He nodded. "Speaking of cookies, do you remember the cookies you gave me on my birthday?"
"Of course, how can I forget?" I cupped my face and smiled. "Aw! You made the cutest face ever when you were eating them."
"Then you'll remember this." He rested both his hands on my shoulder and looks straight into my eyes.
"Remember what?" I whisper.
He leaned in and pressed his lips on mine. My eyes widened in shock but I slowly melt into the kiss. A pair of arms rested on my waist as I wrapped my arms around Atty's neck.
He pulled away as I blinked multiple times, processing what just happened.
"I and you just...we were..."
Our eyes made contact. Then I remembered.
"Hey, (n/n)-chan!" A familiar voice came from behind me.
I turned around and laugh happily. "Atty! Atty! I got you something!"
"What? What is it?" He looked at me with curiosity.
Giggling, I spin around and get my gift out if my pocket. Slowly, I face him again, my ha ds behind my back. I brought my hands forward with a (c/f) cookie in my hands.
"Cookie!"
Atty eyes turned into stars as he starts drooling. He gives a long gasp. "Is that for me?"
I nod continuously as I put it in his hand. "Eat it all up!"
He takes the wrapped cookie and unwraps it. He takes a big bite and his starry eyes grow bigger. "It's amazing!"
"Happy birthday! Make a wish!"
Atty stopped eating and looked at me. "A wish?"
"Uh huh!"
"Erm, I wish to ask you something?"
"Okay! Ask me!"
"Will you be my girl friend?"
Time slowed down. Then everything around us seemed to disappear. It was just us. And silence.
"(N/N)?"
"Dum-Dum, I already am your girl friend. Your best girl friend!"
"Really? So, when we're older, we can go further?"
I tilted my head in confusion. "Bestest girl friend?"
"...Something like that."
He meant girlfriend. Girlfriend! Oh, I'm such an idiot!
"You and me...we...I...eh?! We've been dating?! Since we were six?!"
He simply nods.
"W-Well you could've at least told me!"
"Are you angry?"
I looked into his orange eyes. "N-No. Just...shocked..." My eyes wandered to the oven. "Erm, want a cookie?"
He quickly pressed his lips on mine again and walks away. "Sure."
