I remembered when we first met like it was yesterday. I remembered everything about him like it was yesterday. The way his eyes lit up, the way his smile made my heart go stupid... I shook my head, forcing the thoughts out. I couldn't relive the past, when I had things that I needed to do in the present to ensure my baby would live a normal life. But it couldn't stop me from dreaming about him.

"Sariyah, just buy tickets to the concert!" Amy yelled. Amy was my best friend. She was only 4'9, but her voice made up for her lack of height. "Cause if you don't, your going to be sad and moping for the rest of the summer break!"

"Amy, calm down. We only have like two more weeks of summer." I replied, looking up at her. We had been laying on a blanket in the town's park, and she had stood up when she started yelling.

"That's not the point, Sariyah, and you know it! You better march down to the ticket office, and get yourself a ticket!"

"With what money, Amy?" I laughed as she turned red.

"Fine, whatever. Don't go!" She huffed, throwing herself back onto the blanket.

"Amy, you know I would. But with all the other girls in this town going crazy about them, I don't want people to think I'm just another inst-fan"

Insta-fan is what we called the girls who became fans of celebrities-guys- that they thought were extremely talented-extremely cute- and needed more fans-just add google.

She groaned and rolled her eyes. "Everyone in Comfort knows you've liked them since you were thirteen! So go. Get. A. Damn. Ticket." I knew she was on the edge. She only ever cussed was when she was really ticked off.

"Maybe tomorrow, Ames. I'm tired, there's a long ass line, and I don't even have mon-" I was cut off as she threw-literally THREW- money at me "Ames, how much is here?" I picked up the bills and counted.

She had at least $220 in nothing but twenties. I just sat there with my mouth open. "Ames, how did you get all this money?"

"I've been saving it from work. I knew you'd argue about not having enough money to pay for the tickets, so I've been saving a little out of my check every week." I stared at her in amazement. My best friend, the girl who spent nearly almost all of her time and money on martial arts tournaments since we were nine, who got a job just to PAY for the tournaments, had saved money out of her little paycheck to pay for tickets to go to a concert by a group she had never really listened to. I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.

So I did both. And got punched for it.

"Don't look at me like that, Ya-ya. Just go buy the tickets."

The next couple of weeks flew by. With the excitement of school starting, getting accepted into my first choice college, and senior meetings, the night of the concert had come before I even had time to blink.

"Ames, are you ready yet?" I yelled from her bed.

"NO!" I just rolled my eyes. She was upset because I told her she had to look 'presentable', which meant no basketball shorts, jerseys,or ponytails. She was currently struggling to find a good pair of jeans and a clean shirt.

"There! Are you happy, you prat?!" She asked, coming out of her bathroom. I gave her a once over-clean jeans, a Tapout shirt, and converse. Eh, something was better than nothing. We walked to the auditorium where the concert was held.

I was bouncing up and down in my seat the entire time, singing along to every song. I knew I was annoying Amy, as she kept having to hold me down.

After the concert, I was singing and dancing as we walked outside.

"That was totally great! I can't believe Ryan actually jumped into the crowd!" I jumped like he had, a spread eagle kind of thing, and stumbled when I landed. I blushed as I looked up, noticing it was a guy's back who had saved my life "I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention, and I hope I didn't hurt you"

My breath stopped when he turned around.

"Oh, its no problem, I'm completely fine. But I think your friend is having some trouble." I turned to see Amy on the floor, her face purple with trying not to laugh.

"Oh, no, she's fine. Just laughing at my accident prone abilities." I blushed deeper.

"Oh. Well then."

"Sorry, I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Sariyah Lopez." I stuck out my hand

"Damian. Damian McGinty."

I awoke with a start, my breathing come hard and fast. I rubbed my hand, the one he had kissed when we first met. I could still feel the tingles as his lips brushed my skin.
