song: egyptian pools - Jinsang

Coming out was never easy for a fifteen years old boy.

For Baekhyun, clearing his mind and finally realizing that he wasn't attracted to females wasn't as confusing as media made it seem. It took him a week to do so. After being locked with a female, lunatic stalker of his, and her showing her curvy body to him, He realized that it wasn't and won't ever be a turn on. Instead, he felt awkward. And after a few days of clearing his mind, and a bit of fanboying over hot men on instagram, he admitted that he became homosexual.

But when he decided that he couldn't suffocate himself anymore and that he had to let the world know, he felt lost, unknowing what to do or say. He tried to throw hints, but no one seemed to receive the signals he was sending.

When all his plans were in vain, he encouraged himself, and took the decision to tell his family after dinner, never considering giving up an option.

While eating the said meal in awkward silence, the father looked at his son, smiling at him-- even though it seemed a little bit forced. "Come on, Baekhyun. Can you tell us what you wanted to confess?"

The whole family waited, and waited, and waited. They all flashed the petite curious stares, making him looking at his sweaty, interlocked slender fingers in worry.

"I like boys."

Baekhyun hoped, and wished hard that his relatives would just be happy for him, congratulate him or even force a smile and tell him how proud they were. How amazed they were at his courageous act.

But no, not every gay person are that lucky to have the perfect coming out ever.

His eyes turned from his father, who was frowning, to his mother who had a disappointed look on her face, to his siblings who all smiled at him awkwardly; they already knew about it, and they tried to cheer up the petite.

He grew tired of the deadly silence, so he dropped his utensils on the table, standing up to leave.

He bowed to his parents in an apologetic manner, not even knowing what he was sorry for. He blinked his eyes to stop the salty tears from falling and to maintain his strong image, before going to his room, locking himself up.

The midget ran to his bed, not caring if he shed tears anymore because now, he was alone. He hugged his pillow and hid his face in it to muffle the uncontrollable loud sobs. He cried, cried and cried, not even considering stopping an option— that was until he heard the faint knocking on his door.

He sat up gently, taking his time to wipe the salty liquid from his rosy cheeks. "Who is it?"

"It's us, Baekhyun-ah. Please open the door so we can talk."

The said male shivered at the sound of his father, that was probably accompanied by his mother. He felt multiple sobs make their way out but he tried to not let them out by shutting his lips tight.

He took hesitant steps to the door, wishing that the floor would just swallow him at this moment. But that wasn't possible, unfortunately. He sighed, before cleaning his face once more, and unlocking the door.

He went straight back to his bed, sitting on it and looking at his feet, as he was unable to face his parents. He heard them walking toward him and felt scared every time they approached him.
