"The number you're calling is out of reach. Please try again later."
Jungkook sighed, bringing the phone up to his ears again.
"The number you are calling is out of-"
Jungkook cut the call and threw his phone on the couch in frustration. He had been trying to call Jimin for the past two hours and he wasn't picking up. Just as Jungkook stood up to head out to look for Jimin, the latter walked in. He was wiping his sweat with a towel, black t-shirt sticking to his lean body, causing Jungkook to gulp.
"Hey," Jimin muttered, plopping down on the couch and closing his eyes.
Jungkook opened his mouth to yell at Jimin for having not picked up his phone but stopped when he noticed Jimin keeping his left arm straight, not moving it much.
"Hyung," Jungkook reached out to touch Jimin's arm but he flinched away. Jungkook got worried. "What happened?"
"Nothing," Jimin smiled, a smile so convincing but Jungkook knew it wasn't real.
"Hyung," this time Jungkook's tone had a ring of warning to it. "What happened to your arm?"
"I swear it's-"
Jimin was cut off when Taehyung walked in with Hoseok and both of them gasped.
"Park Jimin!" Hoseok yelled. "Why is your left elbow bleeding?"
Jimin flinched and slowly turned to face Jungkook, only to find the latter glaring at him. Taehyung shook his head and went to his room to get a first aid kit. Hoseok rose an eyebrow at Jimin, waiting for an explanation.
"I was practicing and I fell."
Hoseok waited, silently urging Jimin to continue. Jimin sighed, rolling his eyes.
"There was something sharp on the floor. My elbow hit it as I fell."
Jungkook waited for Hoseok to go to his own room before speaking up.
"You fell."
Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "Yeah?"
"Are you eating? Did you feel faint? Is that why you fell? Because I swear to God-"
Jimin held Jungkook's wrist and pulled him onto the couch with him, nuzzling his face into the younger's shoulder and smiling softly.
"Don't worry Kookie," Jimin's voice was soft, reassuring. "I promised you I would eat. I plan on keeping it."
Jungkook stopped breathing when he felt Jimin's breath on his neck, warm and comforting.
"I slipped," Jimin continued. "That's why I fell. I'm okay."
Taehyung returned with the first aid kit to find his two best friends having a moment, and so he smiled and left the first aid kit on the nearest table in the living room.
Jungkook unconsciously rubbed Jimin's head, loving the feeling of his pink locks against the tips of his fingers. Jimin sighed, rubbing his nose against Jungkook's sweatshirt, the smell of Jungkook's fabric deodorizer and laundry wafting into his nose.
"I don't ever want you to feel low," Jungkook whispered, looking at Jimin's pink mop of hair. "Please take care of yourself, okay?"
Jimin gave a slight nod before playfully punching Jungkook's chest.
"You're talking like you're my hyung," Jimin chuckled, and Jungkook automatically smiled. He loved Jimin's laugh.
"I don't mind you calling me hyung, Jimin-ssi."
This response of Jungkook earned him several punches to his chest and a glare from the elder.
"Jeon Jungkook, you're so disrespectful. I'm two years elder to you."
Jungkook only smiled and pulled Jimin back into his chest. The latter didn't protest either. Instead he buried himself further into Jungkook's side, forgetting that he was sweaty and badly needed a shower. Not that Jungkook minded.
