"El?" you announce yourself with the half-call of his name, causing him to turn from where he was watching TV on the couch. The vision he catches of you consists of you standing in your night shorts, holding the pregnancy test he'd run and bought delicately in your hand.
"Well?" he asks with curiosity, waiting for you to tell him whether it showed one line or two.
You let the smile break across your face, "We're pregnant!"
