It was a cold winters morning, as Marinette kissed her Mother and Father goodbye. Her mother and father would be competing in a baking competition in America, and wouldn't be back for a few weeks, to a month. Though, she wouldn't be completely alone. She had Tikki to keep her company, along with a gift Marinette's parents had given her before they left so that she wouldn't be lonely. A small black kitten, with big round green eyes filled with curiosity and happiness. She, of course, named him after her beloved partner Chat Noir. He would follow her everywhere, inspire her designs, and cheer her up when she felt sad or lonely.

After Marinette's parent's left, she got prepared for school. She kissed Chaton on the head to say goodbye for the day and walked to school. She would need all the luck she could get because today was the day. Today was finally the day that Marinette would confess her feelings to the love of her life, Adrien Agreste. Tikki and Alya encouraged her, to finally confess to the love of her life after he started wearing Marinette's good luck charm to school. He wore it in remembrance, of the first true friend he had ever made, Marinette. She realized her feelings for him even more after he explained to her why he started to wear it. But what she didn't know, was that he also wore it because of its luck. For he would be confessing his udder admiration for ladybug as well that same .

After school, Marinette caught up with Adrien at the top of the stairs at the entrance to the school. She took a moment to take in how handsome he was from behind, as the small rays of sunlight just peeking through the clouds reflected off his golden hair, causing it to glow in the most wonderful way possible. Then she had finally built up enough courage. She couldn't wait any longer. She was going to ask him now.

"U-Um, Hi A-Adrien..." She stood about a foot away and looked down at the floor, with a ginormous blush on her face. Adrien turned around to see his trusting friend, and princess standing behind him.

"Oh! Hey there Marinette! What's up?" He expressed a warm smile, greeting her with kindness.

"N-Nothing m-mooch...I-I MEAN M-MUCH" She couldn't help but turn red with embarrassment because of her lack of confidence in talking to Adrien.

"That's cool. So, did you need something Marinette?" He raised his left eyebrow slightly, keeping his warm smile in place.

"I-I wanted to ask you a question..." She looked in his sparkling emerald green eyes and quickly looked away.

"Yeah? What's up?" He looked at her innocently as she tried to choke out what she was trying to say so desperately, but had so much difficulty doing.

"W-Will you... w-will you... WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME TO GET HOT CHOCOLATE THIS FRIDAY?" She was proud of herself for finally get her feelings off of her chest. But, she would never have been able to brace herself enough for what was to come next. Adrien's smile quickly dropped to a worried expression.

"Marinette. i-i'm sorry but... I can't. I have really strong feelings for someone else, and I feel like I would be betraying that feeling if I said yes. I'm so sorry..." He put his hand on Marinette's shoulder but was taken aback when she moved it away.

"That's okay... I-I completely under...stand" She lowered her head, and started to cry. She started walking back to the bakery Trying not to collapse in a puddle of tears in front of him.

"Marinette I-" He was cut off by Marinette's quiet cracking voice.

"It's fine Adrien. I-I'll be.... I-I-I'll be..." She burst into tears and released her true feelings. "...Fine!!!" She then ran towards the bakery, not looking back at the boy who had broken her heart.

Adrien couldn't help but feel sorry for her as she ran away. He would Definitely be making it up to her later. But right now he had something important he needed to focus on. Confessing his feelings to Ladybug.

Later that night, It was finally time for Chat Noir and Ladybug's weekly patrol. He was finally going to tell his lady his true feelings. Adrien transformed and went to where he and his lady usually met up for their patrols. But, when he got there, his lady looked...different. In a sad, depressing way. But hopefully, he would definitely be cheering her up soon.

"M'lady?" He asked Politely.

"What is it Chat." She gave off an annoyed reply. She was tired and depressed from the reply Adrien had given her earlier that day, she was crying ever since she reached the safety of her home. Chat took her hands and looked into her now gray and depressed eyes.

"I've been wanting to say this ever since I first laid eyes on you, M'lady. I-I love you. Will you please do me the honor of spending the rest of this cold winter in the warmth of my arms?" He worriedly looked into her eyes waiting for his answer, only to have his lady, rip her hands from his.

"No." She replied. She turned around and crossed her arms.

"W-what? B-But M'lady I-" His voice started to crack. He wasn't ready for rejection. Ladybug harshly cut him off.

"I said no Chat! How many times do I have to say it! No no no no no!" She turned around and yelled at him with tears in her eyes, and yo-yo-ed back to the comfort of her balcony. Chat couldn't believe it. His heart was completely broken. Though in the midst of his suffering, he heard a girl crying in the distance. A cry that was all too familiar. His princess.

"Marinette!" He quickly dashed to Marinette's, only to find her, shattered in pieces on her balcony. He couldn't believe it. He was too busy chasing after a dream that would never have come true, he hurt the one he should've been falling for. The one who was truly always by his side. His princess. His Marinette.

Marinette felt horrible for the way she treated Chat Noir. If only she could take back the words she said. She was too busy chasing after a dream that would never happen, it caused her to hurt the one that she should've been falling for this whole time. Her beloved partner. Her Chat Noir. Her kitty.

Chat Landed on her balcony, and before he could even finish the first word he said, He was cut off by Marinette wrapping her arms around him.

"I'm so sorry!!!" She was crying into Chat's chest. He wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her neck.

"For what princess? I'm the one who should be apologizing to you." She looked at him with her Bluebelle eyes, finally filled with color.

"Why Chat?"

"Well, the boy you're crying about, he broke your heart, right? I'm...sorry." He couldn't help it. Chat was in love with his princess and finally made it official. He kissed her. The sweet taste of cherry lip gloss on her soft lips filled him with happiness. And he became even happier when she returned the kiss, deepening it, and then stopping to come up for air.

"I love you Princess, and I should've realized it before, but I was too blinded by something that, wouldn't have even happened to see it." Marinette touches his lips with hers and looked him in his emerald green eyes.

"I love you too kitty." She lead him down the trapdoor to her bed and lied down with her kitty in her arms. "Please spend the rest of the winter, in the warmth of my arms...?"

"Of course Princess. Without a doubt." They kissed Passionately the rest of the night...only leading into the beginning of them spending their own special winter wonderland together, in each other's arms.
