Mateo grabs my forearm pulling me up the stairs in a hurry, which I almost tripped over the last step. I had a weird feeling about breaking into the cabin. Now, that I think of it this place reminds me of that movie Cabin Fever. The late night gives the trees that strange vibe that someone is watching you from far. I feel myself getting closer to Mateo, his warm body puts my nerves to ease.
"Why so scare mi amor?"
"What are you talking about, I am not scared and don't call me my love."
He gives me a mischievous smirk and then squats down flips the mat over, and underneath it, there's a silver key with an engraved letter 'H'.
"How did you know there was a key under there?" I gave him a perplex look.
"Just a lucky guess."
He flies open the door and as soon as we stepped in the lights automatically turn on. It took me by surprise to see the shiny hardwood floor, along with the extravagant leather sectional. I walk in slowly taking in everything and made my way to the kitchen. My fingers hovered over the top marbled island and the fancy appliances in its latest model.
"Holy shit!! This is marvelous who the fuck lives here? a celebrity or a drug lord?" my mouth along with my eyes are in awe.
"Have I told you that pretty mouth of yours turns me on." He takes a few steps towards me leaving only a few inches parting us. He looks down at me and I can see his brown eyes shine so bright that it made me blush.
"Uhm, I— oh, look how the structure of the ceiling is. How do they manage to make the wood into a semi-circle? Or is there wood in that shape? Talking about wood, I can see your bulge on full display."
"Don't worry about him he's just happy to finally have you all alone."
"So, why did you bring me to this cabin... are you going to take me to the back and kill me?" I put both of my hands on my cheeks and pretended to be in shock.
