If it weren't for that quick cushion, I probably would've been flung into the windshield and probably slid along the flagstones.  My head hurts like hell but besides a few bruises and cuts, I think I'll be fine.  Unfortunately for us, however, Grimm were coming out of the hole we just made.  Evidently the explosives woke up small colonies of them and now they were pouring into the city...and there's a Basilisk with them.

"It never gets easier,"  I muttered, drawing Nightblade and smashing the windscreen.  I pulled out my scroll and quickly dialed Isabel.

"How's the stealth mission, going?"  she greeted me.

"Failed the stealth bit," I replied, decapitating a Beowulf.  "Get Leah and Des and get down here.  Bring weapons and friends!"  I slipped the scroll back into my pocket and waded into the sea of Grimm.  Team RWBY was scattered around me, but we were only nicking away at the monsters.  "Take cover!"

I turned the blade upside down and slammed it a few inches into the ground before running.  Dark clouds formed  over the sword and an Ursa was right next to it and another few dozen Grimm.  I rolled behind a pillar as lightning came down, striking my sword and spreading throughout the Grimm horde.  Sadly, one Huntsman and five in training is nowhere near enough to stop this horde.  Of course, I can always count my team to come in, with friends and guns blazing...quite literally.

Destiny soared over the head of a Boarbatusk, fired a hidden round into the back of its head, and ran off, reloading and firing.  Isabel summersaulted in and stabbed an Ursa right between its eyes, and parried a strike from a Beowulf.  Leah, I've got to say, had to have the coolest entrance of all.  Unlike Des and Isabel, who came in really flashily and epic, Leah walked calmly towards the hoard, pistols in hand.  Not looking, she popped an approaching Nevermore between the eyes, and then A Beowulf that was creeping along the ground towards her.  Not gonna lie, quite possibly the hottest thing I've ever seen in my life.

"These good enough?"  She asked.  Behind her followed Teams JNPR, CFVY, CRDL, and, unfortunately, RNKS.  Sun and Neptune dropped in flashing their junior detective badges before silently freaking out and joining the fight.  I've never seen anyone work as good together as we all did.  Coco and Nora helped launch Grimm into other students who cut them down in seconds.  Yatsuhashi, the big guy from CFVY, actually threw me up to stab a passing Nevermore in the throat and have it come crashing down into another group of Grimm.

"Hey Andrew!"  Nora said, slugging a Boarbatusk away like a baseball.  "Can you do something for me?"

"I don't see why not," I replied, point blanking a Beowulf.

"You can do things with lighting right?"  I shrugged.  My control over air sort of allows me to control storms, but I can usually call down lightning.  "Hit me with it."  I almost got myself gored when she said that.

"Are you insane?"  I asked, dodging a few more attacks.  "That's, on average, about a billion volts of electricity!  I can't even survive that if I focus!"  Nora cracked another Grimm's head and smacked the slowly dissipating body into a few more.

"Don't worry," Nora reassured me.  "I can take it."  I looked at her for a second, and something about her smile convinced me.  Lightning flew from my fingers and ran along her body, but she didn't flinch.  "Thanks!"  I have never seen anyone tear through Grimm with the power and ferocity until I saw Nora after the lightning.

"Hey, Ren," I said, standing back-to-back with him.  "Do you know what Nora's semblance is?"

"She can absorb any amount of electricity and turn it into strength," he replied, firing shots.  "The strength does cap itself, I think, but there's no limit to how much she can absorb, as far as I'm aware of."  Looks like Nora and I'd would've been really good teammates...oh well, I'm pretty happy with my team.  A scream broke me from my focus.  The Grimm horde had thinned due to our fighting, but that only attracted my attention to the problem.

Leah was lying in front of a Beowulf who had a bloody claw raised.  I teleported between them, shoved Nightblade's barrel underneath the Beowulf's throat, and pulled the trigger.

"You alright?"  I asked, putting Nightblade away and kneeling down beside Leah.

"I've been better," she groaned, putting pressure on claw marks at her side.  "I think I need to go to the infirmary though...."  I looked around at the other teams, who'd handled the Grimm and were kind of cheering.  We had it...together.

"I'll take you," I said, preparing to pick her up.  "Just tell me if it hurts...."  She winced as I picked her up, but didn't tell me to put her down.  I walked back to the school, passing two Atlesian  Knights who were pushing Roman towards a holding cell.

"Hey easy, easy," he snapped at them.  "Watch the hat!"  I snickered as I walked passed them and to the infirmery.  The city is safe from the Grimm invasion and Roman Torchwick's going to jail...overall I'd say that's a pretty succesfull evening.
