[Dipper's(Mason's) POV] "I'll surrender Stanley. Let them go."
"Excellent choice Dipper. You know, you and I are not so different, I want to show you something."
Suddenly, I entered his mind.
"Let me show you how I became the man I am."
~Inside Stanley's mind~
"Dipper, when I was a little kid, me and Stanford used to go out on these mystery hunts and that was the time when we were still great friends. It was all great until we started highschool, sure I managed to pass barely, but me and Stanford started to....drift apart. He was wrapped up in his academics, and I just wanted to continue my mystery hunts. Then one night, while I was in his room, I accidentally spilled pitt cola on his science fair project, I understood he would be angry, but he told me that I would be a nothing, and that angered me, it's what drove me to become what I am noe. You know the feeling that you will never be as good as someone else, so you have to use whatever way to surpass them. Just like the reason you used those percepshrooms, to surpass your sister. So what do you say, join me, and we can prove to the world how strong and powerful we can be!"
"I'm nothing like you great uncle Stanley. NOW MABEL!"
~Present time~
[Mabel's POV] I took a crowbar near me and broke the second amulet, Stanley has lost, we actually won. But the celebrations were too early, after a while, Will showed up with a not so pleasent look.
"Finally, I am free from the deal."
"What in the world are you tal-"
"SILENCE! I have had enough of you two bratty kids bossing me around. Now that I'm free, I shall use your blood to paint this town red."
I've never seen Will this mad before, if he really is going to unleash his powers, with ours gone, nothing can stop him.
"Stand behind me."
Those were his last words...before Will took...everything.
[Pacifica's POV] Mason told us to stay behind him, he closed his eyes and opened them again, his body burning like a phoenix, the blue flame engulfed him, as he started to walk towards Will.
"Don't make me do this Will."
But he was defeated almost instantly by the triangular creature.
"You think you can hurt me? I'm an interdimensional being that you cannot perceive, my powers are beyond yours. You really thought I was a powerless animal? I was forced to play nice because of the contract. Now that it's gone, you, everyone you love, and the whole town will be dragged into your graves."
As we were worrying what to do, Mason stood up, his arms supporting what was his intact bones, using the last remaining enrgy that he had, he walked towards Will and whispered something to hum. Will looked at him, nodding his head, his eyes showing excitement, what was he doing? Is he striking a deal!?
"You know, compared to your sister, you are the clever one. I'll accept your deal."
He shook Masons' hand and snapped his finger and took everything. My everything. Mason was gone, his existence. But just when we thought all hope was lost, a portal opened up and started sucking away Will, it was a miracle!
~Mindscape~
"You lost Will. Guess you forgot the deal that you have made was to 'Serve us and protect us until the amulet breaks'. With the horcrux spell, I am the amulet, so now that you kill me, I'm bringing you down with me. I win, checkmate."
"WHAT!? You....you....this is a technicality! You think you're smart? I'll see you in hell! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
[Pacifica's POV] The town cheered as everything went back to normal. I tried having fun before leaving this town, but I couldn't, not without Mason. Mabel never left her house, probably grieving over the loss of the person who truly cared for her, even thought he does not admit it.
The end of summer finally arrived, I had to go home, leave everything behind here, my adventures, friends and...love. He will always be in my heart. As I was saying my goodbyes at the bus station, Gideon gave me his hat as a gift and Mabel handed me a letter. She looked better than I would expect, I'm glad she didn't take it too badly.
"He wanted you to have this, before he left."
It was a letter, I guess at least I have something to remember him by.
I stepped on the bus, all my friends were waiting for the bus and I to leave, as it started to drive away, I see my friends and family. After a while, I was bored on the way back home, so I opened the letter Mason gave me, inside was a small note with a sentence written on it.
"Put Gideon's hat down next to you."
That is a strangely odd request, I took the hat Gideon gave me and put it on the seat next to me. I waited for a second, gazing at the hat, hoping something would happen. Come on Mason, what do you have up your sleeve...yet nothing happened. I was still alone in the bus, waiting to head back to Beach City. Soon after, I fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of the bus doors opening. Before I opened my eyes, I felt like I was leaning on something, I don't recall my backpack being this big. I opemed my eyes slowly and there he was. Mason Pines, back from the dead.
