Chapter 21: The Kid

"Why do I get the Dragon?!" Evergreen complained as she continued to run away.

"Our problems are just the same! Stop complaining!" then shouted Freed as he jumped from one branch to another while the Lion was hot on his tracks.

"I'm going through this again!" Bickslow shouted as he dodged the claw of the bird.

Koujiro just stood there as he continued to bleed. He glared at them ever so terrifying, he almost looked like a threat. But no one with such a build could be a threat, the only threat were his stuff toys. They show no signs of stopping. As long as Koujiro, the puppeteer, stands, they will not stop.

They already knew what the bird could do, it can sharpen its talons and use it to severe its prey. But luckily it was a bird that couldn't fly. Bickslow had a hard time dodging; he would get sliced here and there. Without his dolls, he couldn't defend himself.

Then there was the Lion, it could jump high and also it could make its fangs grow. It pounced at Freed, crushing him between itself and the ground.

"Tsk." Freed just clicked his tongue at his state. Suddenly the Lion opened it's mouth and it's fangs grew three times its size. He was shocked! The lion attempted to plunge it into his head, but he was able to block it with his sword.

Then there was the dragon that could-

"IT CAN BREATHE FIRE!?!" Evergreen yelped as she dodged its fire roar.

It was simple as that, the dragon, who was enormous to begin with... could breathe fire.

"How can I defeat this kind of thing?!" She panicked. "Freed help me!" she shouted.

"I'm kind of busy right now!" but the green-haired man answered in difficulty as he was still being crushed and bitten.

"Bickslow!" she then reached out to the guy who had his own problems too.

"Look missy, if you find my babies, I'll help you, but right now my hands are a little full, okay?"Bickslow said as he dodged a talon just by a second early.

Evergreen ran fast, the dragon not stopping with its roars. It was a miracle that it wasn't starting a forest fire.

Evergreen ran as she searched for Bickslow's dolls. She ran through a bush, it was burned by the dragon, she ran through a fallen tree, it was extinguished and finally she ran through a big rock and hid behind it. It was able to protect her from the fire.

"Where are those stupid dolls?!" she shouted as she punched the ground, to her surprise... she punched something made out of wood.

She was shocked to see that it was Bickslow's dolls! Although few were already broken. She gathered them up, waited for the dragon to stop its attack and ran!

She ran towards Bickslow who was cornered in a tree by the bird.

"Fairy Needles!" shouted Evergreen as she attacked the bird... it stopped. "Here you go!" she threw the puppets at him and after casting a spell, they came to life!

But, to everyone's surprise... even Koujiro's...

"Master!" A squiky voice came out of the giant bird. It was unbelievable... one of Bickslow's children was still inside the stuff toy bird! And now, he could control it in its gigantic form!

"Aww yes! That's amazing!" Bickslow celebrated as he tested the bird out, "Attack that dragon for me, my kiddy."

The giamt bird did attack the dragon, but it was stopped by the Lion's fang. It jumped off Freed to protect the dragon from its talons.
