This old man he's no more, he disappeared when I called the cops. And now I can breathe without worrying that he's gonna follow me.
~~~~~~After we got inside, my paranoia told me to close the curtains. When I reached the ones in the dining room, I saw him again.
The old man was actually standing in my driveway. Like hell I'd let that continue.
I closed the curtains and dialed 911. The cops didn't take long and I made sure to keep talking to the woman in case the old man disappeared again.
Lucky me, he was still there when the cops arrived. They restrained him and one of the officers came over to talk to me.
I had already notified the lady on the phone of everything that's happened and politely hung up when I saw the cops.
I peeked around the officer to see the old man in the car, still staring.
"Are you sure this is the man that has been following you?" the officer asked.
"More like stalking," I responded.
"We'll take him in but I can't say he'll be locked up for good or long," the officer warned.
"As long as it gives him the spooks," I retorted.
With that, I got back to enjoying my Friday with my friends who all but apologized to me once they saw the old man in the car.
Finally, I can breathe without worrying that he's going to follow me.
Or that's what I thought.
