Nida had left the home earlier that morning, as to get to work sooner...he had to speak with his boss, Rasi Igiroche, about certain issues within the company. Rasi Igiroche was a fat little bean of a man...he was barely 5 foot, and was rather plump. He had a mustache that looked like dung smeared on a man's face (Nida's children theorized that it was), with freckles sprinkled all around, and a dust-colored beard to top it off. He was a very kind man, though, and payed his men well. He always wore an eloquent, fancy suit, emblazoned with the company logo, a dolphin...oh, the company was called Dolphin Delivery...a generic name, yes, but they were quite possibly the biggest business in all of Chikaria, possibly the world. However, as of late, the company has had some problems regarding a few workers, and so Nida wished to report it. He rapped at the door of his boss, and was called in to enter.
"Morning, boss. How're you today?"
The potato replied, "Why, simply wonderful! What brings you to my office on such a fine morning?"
"Well, I have a few issues to discuss with you, sir," the man said.
"Why, of course, anything, Nida my friend! Take a seat, right here."
He took a seat across from Rasi, straightening himself and clearing his throat...he might be here awhile. "Yes, sir...ahem...lots of the workers have been drinking...alot...they've been getting into fights while on the ship, and stuff."
The potato stroked his beard, grunting and then adjusting his tie. "Do you know any of them in particular?" He seemed concerned about this monotonous behaviour, and wished to learn more.
"No, sir...I've never had the time to get to know any of them. I might suggest making an announcement to the whole company to not drink?"
"Hm...I suppose that should do. If I might ask, have you been partaking in any of these fights?"
"Well, I've tried to break up a few...got roughed up a few times, and stuff." He rubbed a bruise on his arm, and swallowed.
"Ah...I would suggest not doing so anymore...oh, and now that you're here, I must discuss something more drastic with you."
Nida had not known about the sabotages as of yet, which was quite odd, considering it had been announced to the whole company. This is what his boss wished to discuss...the plump man handed Nida an article, printed from the Internet.
"Read this, if you please."
The man began scanning over the paper, eyes widening as each paragraph transitioned into the next. Hundreds of workers dead...wreckage sunk to the ocean...Fuguian perpetrators found and sentenced to death...How had he possibly missed this grave event? This was truly bad news, indeed.
"I-I never knew that this happened...! Is there anything I can do to help with this?" He was almost shaking now, afraid that it might happen to him...he could never die on his children, it would break their poor souls.
"Well...all I ask is that you remain alert, and always at the ready. At the slightest moment you feel something is about to happen, do all that you can..." He said this to reassure Nida, but how would he know something is happening if the Fuguians are sneaking it? They haven't done it in awhile, to make Chikara think that they stopped, but it could very well happen again...
"Yes, sir...thank you for your time." With this, he slid up, folded the article and placed in his breast pocket. "Have a nice day, Rasi..."
Nida wasn't even sure he wanted to go to work today, after what he just heard...fortunately, they were shipping goods to the friendly country of Rufihuking, meaning they definitely wouldn't be getting sabotaged today...

He had gone to the washroom to tidy up, quickly, and emerged, ready to start the day of work once again...except the thoughts of the Fuguian sabotages still kept coming up, and haunting him...he kept the article given to him by Rasi in his breast pocket, but he honestly didn't know why...anyway, he continued to the dock and greeted his fellow workers, trying to maintain a positive work attitude as to better the others around him.
He began lifting crates and containers into the ship, sweating and heaving for almost two hours before they were finally packed and ready to shove off...he climbed aboard, sitting in a seat attached to the ship. The person manning the wheel shouted, "We're about shove off, lads! Hurry your butts onto the ship!" A bunch of workers rushed onto the ship, as it was untied from the dock and set sail. The hull slapped the water, prompting some to shoot up magnificently...the feel of the wind on Nida's face was payment enough for this job...he loved the boats, how the wind blew against his face, how he was able to relax and listen to the water...

Nikko had been miserable for the past few weeks...he had mostly gotten over his mother's death, but still loathed the absence of her...her sweet smile, her soft, relaxing touch...Nikko had taken over house duties while his father was absent at work, taking out the trash, getting food, and the like...he also enjoyed playing video games, one of the only luxuries his family could afford. He especially liked a company called Odnetnin, who produced quality, fun games almost all the time...he'd recently been playing a game called "Nootalps", where you go around covering the opposing Noots in jelly, and spreading jelly over your territory with butter knives, rollers, and jelly guns. Anyway, today he was to go pick up something his father had bought, but hadn't had the time to pick up...
"I'm heading out, Kokai. Toso. See you later," he glumly said, starting for the door and flinging his coat on.
"Be safe, big brother! Love yooou!" exclaimed Toso, hugging him and running back to watch her favorite TV show, Teerts Emases. Nikko disregarded the hug and headed outside, hopping into his car and driving off.
"So, let's check out what dad is havin' me get today..." He never knew what his father had him get, of course, until he got there to pick it up. Pulling into the store where deliveries were sent, Grumble Grocer, Nikko would jump out of the car, slamming the door with some money clutched in his hand. However, as soon as he entered, something big was going to happen.
