As I lay there I Pierce's arms, still shaking, I didn't know what to think.
My mind was blank my face was blank, everything was blank.
If I don't kill Pierce, they will. I can't let them do that. I don't know when and I don't know how but they will find a way to murder him.
"If I don't kill you, they will. The Reachers, my father will send them." I whispered, my voice cracked.
He held me closer and tighter. "Quinn, I'd rather you kill me then anybody else."
I felt a tear drip onto my face.
"Please, get it over with. I'm going to die either way and I'd like it to be by you." He pulled away and picked up the dagger, extending his arm to me.
"Take it and do it." He looked at me right in my eyes.
I slowly shook my head. "N-no. I can't." My own tears began to fall down my face again.
"Quinn, please."
I looked at him then at the dagger in his hand. I slowly reached for the dagger and wrapped my fingers around it.
He took a deep breath and stared at me, waiting for his death. "I love you."
Those three little words that mean so much hit me hard in my own stone cold, black heart.
"I l-love you too, Pierce." I trembled.
I stepped closer to him holding up the dagger. I put my left hand on his right shoulder and held the dagger up to his heart.
"You can do it.." He whispered, putting his hand on my shoulder.
I closed my eyes. My mind was racing trying to think of another way but my mind was just going blank.
There has to be another way, there has to be another way,...there is another way. I thought an immediately dropped the dagger to the floor.
"What're you-"
I put my other hand on Pierce's other shoulder cutting him off and began to shift.
I pulled away as Pierce watched my body go up in flames. When the flames quickly went away they revealed another Pierce.
Pierce stared in disbelief at the exact replica of himself.
"Quinn.?" He asked.
"This is another way." I smiled.
I was sort of in Pierce's body. I shifted into his form making me look exactly like him.
"So you don't have to kill me and I won't get killed.?" He asked.
"No, you won't. Because they'll be taking me." I said.
"But won't they kill you.?" He asked with concern.
"No, they'll think I'm you so they won't use a weapon that could kill a demon." I explained.
A smile formed in his face. "I would totally hug and kiss you right now but that would be weird because.." He motioned to me.
I looked down at my body and laughed. "Oh yeah, right." I snapped my fingers an my body ignited i to flames again revealing myself.
He quickly came over and smashed his lips against mine.
He pulled away and looked down into my eyes. "So you hate that you love me.?"
"Yes because I'm not supposed to. I'm not supposed to care, my parents didn't even love eachother. I just don't understand how I can even have the ability to love." I explained with confusion.
I tried to think of every possible explanation but nothing came to mind.
"Quinn don't worry about it for now." He whispered softly into my ear.
He held me tightly. I listened to his heart beat again, the sound soothing my nerves, making me sleepy.

*Thirty gained souls later*
"My job is basically done." I put both hands on my hips and took a deep breath.
I marveled at the soul count. I only needed 15 more souls to beat my father but I got 15 after that.
I'm officially stronger than him.
Suddenly my phone began to ring. "Hello.?" I answered.
"Hey, Quinn." Rolo's voice came through the phone.
"Hey, what's up.?" I asked.
"Soo we've go a problem down at the café. See this guy-"
"On my way." I cut him off and hung up the phone.
•••
"So where's this-"
"SURPRISE.!" Pierce and Rolo shouted holding up a black and red cake.
I jumped at their actions and looked at them weirdly.
"Why are you looking at us like that.?" Pierce asked.
"Why are you yelling surprise at me.?" I asked in return.
"Because this is a party.! You reached higher than your father on the soul count.!" Rolo smiled and set the cake down.
I smiled and rolled my eyes. "You guys." I sighed.
"Come on, we got coffee and cake waiting for you." Pierce grabbed my hand and pulled me over to the table where the cake and coffee sat.
The cake had an edible picture of all three of us across the top of the cake. It was the first picture we all took together.
They had number candles that gave the number of my soul count. 66,666,696. It was a big cake for a big number. My father had 66,666,666.
"Guys this is the first party I have every attended and the first party that has ever been thrown for me," I paused and smiled at the both of them "and I love it."
I wrapped my arms around the both of them then we all sat down and had cake and coffee.
