Exchange one wet for a purer one
Exchange one blurry for a purer one
So I could see the whipped cream
Wash over Tom, a giant stone seal
And the plastic wrap covering the ocean was broken by
A million
No
A kajillion diamond shards (at least)
And my shoulders were sticky
So I peeled off a shirt I stole from my dad
And I got so wet that I was dry
And tried to drown like a turkey
And the gray steel wool shot out
A million
No
A kajillion glittering pellets (at least)
And my shoulders were prickling
And I grabbed the coolest cold metal I could reach
And squeezed as hard as I possibly could into the railing
And I screamed my emotions with my smile
And I wrote
A million
No
A kajillion silent sonnets (a least)
All in my head
And they all ran away the second I went inside
But that's okay
This is a biography
This is a documentary
This is nonfiction (to me)
This is nonsense (to you)
Because,
God,
You had to see it (blurry)
Because,
God,
You had to feel it (painful)
Because,
God,
You had to had to taste it (bitter)
Because,
God,
You had to be there.
