Connors POV
Con couldn't believe it. Why in the world would Troye call him?He heard loud sobs on the other side
"Troye?"
"Con can you come pick me up?"
Shit
Troye hadn't called him that since they broke up. Troye sounded so desperate on the other side, so vulnerable and broken. He couldn't let his grudges get in the way of helping him.
"Where are you?"
Troye told him where he was and Connor rushed to get there. When he arrived he was devastated at the sight he saw.
His beautiful Troye
Puffed up eyes
Tear stained cheeks
He was shaking
Connor couldn't help but hug him and try to calm him down
"Shhhh Troye it will be okay. Come with me"
He loaded Troyes stuff into his car
Troye sat in the passenger seat and was silent the whole way there
Connor decided it would be best to get Troye to open up once he got comfortable
Connor knew he shouldn't be doing this
He shouldn't help the boy who broke him this way
But he can't help it
He's still madly in love with Troye

Troyes POV
Troye was so glad Connor came for him.
He had a gut feeling that he could still trust Connor even after all this time
The rest of the night was a bit....awkward to say the least
I mean it's not everyday (bro JSKSJSKSKSK IM SORRY I HAD TO) that you breakup with a man you thought you loved and call your gorgeous ex to come and stay with him since you have nowhere else to go
After sitting in silence Connor asked "what happened?"
Troye wanted to tell him everything but instead just replied "I broke up with Jacob"
"Oh."
They sat in silence for the rest of the night
Troye fell asleep in Connors guest room
He was running
Running
Running from who?
He remembered
Jacob.
He had to get away
He arrived at Connors house
But it was too late
He caught him
He screamed for help as Jacob took him away
"NO! HELP. STOP! HELP ME"
Troye jolted awake
He was sweating
He looked to the side and saw that Connor had left him a glass of water
Thank goodness
He downed the glass and stood up
Troye walked to Connors room
"Connor? Are you awake?"
"Mhmmm" replied Connor sleepily
He sat up
"What's wrong?"
Troye fumbled his fingers and looked down ashamed and said "I had a nightmare"
"Wanna talk about it?"
"Um c-Connor?"
Connor raised an eyebrow at him
"Can I cuddle with you?"
Con smiled
A genuine smile
Troye missed it
And him
He slipped into bed next to Connor
Connor wrapped his arms around Troye
Troye turned around so he was facing Connor
"Jacob"
"What?"
"My nightmare was about Jacob" Troye said
"H-he was chasing me and I couldn't get away."
Troye thought he heard Connor mumble something but let it go
"The thing is, the reason why we broke up" Troye gulped "he was using me for money"
Connor gasped
"That's not all. The after I met you at the restaurant h-he he" Troye burst into tears
"Troye you don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable"
"N-no I want to. Connor, he r-raped me"
Connor froze in shock when he said that
He then hugged Troye tightly while Troye cried into his chest
They stayed like that until they both fell asleep

Connors POV
The rest of the night was a bit.... Awkward
I mean when do you get a call from your beautiful ex to come pick you up and ask to stay with you when he has a boyfriend
Wait...
"What happened"
"I broke up with Jacob"
"Oh"
He knew it. Connor would be lying if he didn't say that he was a little bit happy but it pained him greatly to see Troye like this.
Troye went to sleep in Connors guest room
Connor left him a glass of water on his nightstand and went to sleep in his own bedroom
He was awakened by Troyes voice
"Connor? Are you awake?"
"Mhmmm" replied Connor sleepily
He sat up
"What's wrong?"
Troye fumbled his fingers and looked down ashamed and said "I had a nightmare"
"Wanna talk about it?"
"Um c-Connor?"
Connor raised an eyebrow at him
"Can I cuddle with you?"
Con smiled
He'd been waiting for to hold Troye in his arms for so long
And it was finally happening
He slipped into bed next to Connor
Connor wrapped his arms around Troye
Troye turned around so he was facing Connor
"Jacob"
"What?"
"My nightmare was about Jacob" Troye said
"H-he was chasing me and I couldn't get away."
"I'm not gonna let you go away again" Connor mumbled very quietly under his breath
Troye never heard him
"The thing is, the reason why we broke up"
Connor was listening intently
Troye gulped "he was using me for money"
Connor gasped
How dare he
Who could take advantage of Troye like that
Only a sick monster could
"That's not all. The after I met you at the restaurant h-he he" Troye burst into tears
"Troye you don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable"
"N-no I want to. Connor, he r-raped me"
Connor froze in shock when he said that
WHAT
HE KNEW JACOB WAS BAD BUT THIS
HE WAS GOING TO KILL THE BASTARD
"This poor boy has been through so much" Connor thought "no one deserves to be treated the way Troye has been treated. I swear I'm gonna kill Jacob the next time I see him for putting Troye through all of this. He was going to pay"
He then hugged Troye tightly while Troye cried into his chest
They stayed like that until they both fell asleep

I also watched the notebook for the first time today and I legit cried ten times
