Nothing Left

First wave

(" We walked for what felt like hours and we feared like never before. We were not prepared to see people eating each other , We were not prepared to have to sleep in a shed or wagon , and we were for sure not prepared to have to kill what we thought was our own kind ")

11 pm :

" Sing me a song Sam please "

I smile at the sight of my little brother in his pyjamas laying in his bed resting with his teddy bear ,

" Sure .."

I would always sing Ben this song that talks about hope and the Angels above he loves when I sing it , He loves it so much it's almost a every night thing now . After singing the song he is sound asleep and I can go worry about my things I have to get done . I walked to my room and sit on my blue spiny chair and start my homework, Being in High school the homework was the hardest thing and getting a good score on any test , it was like rare cause all the teachers are jack asses or just plane ole boring , I was doing alright and I am lucky to have an alright GPA.

Liz : hey girl !
Me : Hey ! What's up ?
Liz : Nothing much just wanted to check up on my one and only 😂😉
Me : Oh Liz 😊😅

Liz always made me smiles she was always so nice to me , we were really close and could always know we would be there for each other no matter what .

Liz : well I gtg I'm meeting Ethan in a bit 😏
Me : Oh okay well have fun on what ever your gonna do 😅👌🏽
Liz : Thanks bae ! 😘

I turned off my phone and laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling , I slowly closed my eyes and eventually fell asleep , a nice peaceful night.
7 am:
The next morning I woke up to the Tv on in my living room and to the sound of all the other members in my family awake , I got out of bed and walks to the kitchen .

" Morning honey "

My mom said and kissed me on the forehead and laid a plate of bacon and eggs on the table for me and my brother , Ben grabs some food and starts to eat . I sit down and do the same , I turn to my left and see my father watching the news which he never really watched unless it was already on the Tv . The news was talking about some sickness that is spreading rapidly and my dad seemed pretty concerned to the way he quickly got up from the couch , he came over to me and Ben and said ,

" You guys wash your hands at all times okay and make sure to stay hydrated "

Me and Ben nod , he was worrying me by the tone of his voice . My dad took my mom by the hand and took her to another room , I could hear them talking , I looked over at my brother and he had finished his meal and was on the couch and changed the channel to cartoons . I went to my room and got ready for school , After I came out to see my mom and dad back in the living room .

" C'mon Ben I have to take you and your sister to school now "

Ben gets up from the couch and grabs his backpack and walks to my mom by the front door , I grab my backpack and walks over to them and we all walk to the car and get in . My mom drives Ben to school first then drops me off , I walks to my locker and get my things I needed and walk to the my first class . On the way there I pass by Grayson one of the guys all the girls are in love with , I could never show my feeling for him cause I'm a complete chicken and I would walk over there and walk right back cause I would be scared ,

" Hey "

Grayson says while looking at me as I walked ,

" H-Hey "

I replied and kept walking , I should have stopped but instead I decided to keep on walking and get to my class .  I sat in my seat as other people come in and took their seats , the teacher started to talk about math formulas and what fit with what when all the power in the school shuts off . It went dark in the room and the teacher told us not to panic . Just then we heard cars crashing into other cars and others into light poles or trees , Kids got up and went to the windows and saw the terrible accidents . All the kids were sent to the gym and would wait there till their parents came to get them . The electricity for the whole town or even more then the town was out , I heard kids behind me saying it was the first wave and that there was apparently more to come  .....
