Ch.25

New Year's Eve

So ever since I was younger my dad and I always threw a New Years Eve party.

Gracie and I ran around the house doing things to prepare, hanging decoration, setting up food, etc.

"Here" Peter walked into the living room placing down a box of stuff

"What's that" I asked walking over to the box
"Idk it's says Kenzie's Party Stash, you hiding tequila in there or something missy" Peter put his hands on his hips like a dad

"Oh I forgot about this" I brouht the box and place it on the kitchen counter.
I looked through the box and scretly grabbed a silly string. I walked over to Peter and pulled out both cans of spray.
Then the front door opened. "NED" I screamed and ran over to Ned giving him a big hug

"Saved by the Ned" Peter shouted (haha get it... okay no)

I laughed to myself at Peters comment and threw a can of silly string to Ned and Gracie.

"Attack" I screamed spraying silly string all over Peter as he ran around the house.

Then my silly string ran out.... oh no

I began to sprint and didn't even look back then Peter picked me up over his shoulder. "Put me down" I said squirming in his arms.

Peter walked into the pool room. "Parker I will kick your ass" I knew exactly what he was thinking. Wait I didn't know how to swim.

I tried holding my breath as my body hit the water. I tried to get up to the surface but I felt like I was being pulled down.

"Parker SHE CANT SWIM" where the last words I heard before my eyelids got heavy.

Then I felt hands wrap around my waist.
After about a minute I felt a little bit of air In my lungs and started to gasp for air. My eyes popped open and I was still gasping for air. I saw Peter standing over me.

"Omg Kenzie" Gracie gave me a big hug holding my head

When she pulled back I began to cough. "Kenzie baby are you okay, I'm so sorry I'm terrible, I didn't know" Peter was soaked wet and freaking out

"You just saved my life" I hugged him

"Your alright thank God" he squeezed me tightly

"CANT BREATHE" my face turned purple and Peter let go.

"Okay let's go get you all dolled up form tonight" Gracie smiled dragging me out of the room

"OMG HE JUST SAVED MY LIFE" I was shocked

"He did okay now let's go and get you ready" Gracie pulled a dress out of the closet

"This is perfect" Gracie pulled out a dress that made little hearts form in my eyes haha

Gracie squealed and pulled me into our hair dressers chair

"And done" Gracie turned me around so I saw myself in the mirror. I smiled and twirled around "thank it so much Gracie I love it" I hugged her

" I bet Peter will love it even more" Gracie smirked and I punched her in the arm

Gracie got dressed and wore a navy blue cocktail dress. "Girly you look gorgeous" I smiled and twirled my best friend

"Okay let's go" we linked arms and walked into the living room

Peters Pov

I was talking to Mr.Rogers then suddenly he patted me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw Gracie and Kenzie. "Holy shit" I let the words slip out of my mouth as I looked Kenzie up am down.

She wore a little back dress that flowed at the bottom and hugged her structure perfectly. She looked gorgeous to the point where I wanted to nothing but hold her in my arms. I looked into her big blue eyes which were followed by a smile.

"Hi" she mouthed and waved at me as her and Gracie walked towards me.

"You look stunning" I stuttered a little bit

"Thank you" she looked down at floor

It was right then and there when I realized I loved her.

"Come on let's dance" she grabbed my arm pulling me through the crowd

We got to the dance floor and I placed my hands on her waist pulling her close. I've never actually danced before with a girl but I remember seeing Aunt May and Uncle Ben dance when I was younger.

She rested her head on my shoulder as we moved in sync. It just felt right, and one of her favorite songs "Night Changes" by 1D played.

I twirled her around and she smiled. I felt like the world had stopped and all that mattered was us (cliche I know right)

As I went to pull her back in we banged heads and fell to the floor.

She held her head laughing as I picked her up "I'm so sorry".

"It's alright" she giggled hugging me

She so cute I thought as she rested her head on mine.

It was 11: 59 and the countdown started everyone in the Tower shouted. Gracie, Kenzie and I were all on the balcony.  "10, 9, 8, 7" we all counted down

I sat with my arm around Mackenzie as she snuggled up into my chest. "5, 4, 3"

"Mckenzie Stark I love you" I whispered into her ear as she smiled

"Happy New Year" everyone screamed

Then Kenzie turned around and connected her lips to mine. I could feel my face burning up.

"What was that for" I laughed kissing her head

" I just wanted to prepare you for our all nighter, Gracie you in"

"Thanks but, I'll pass" she got up and began to walk back inside "have fun but not too much" she winked at Kenzie

"Yuck" she shook her head laughing
