Evan walked into school and glared at every human he passed. He hated these creatures. Humans were extremely stupid and never knew they were in danger until it hit them in the face. Every human he passed cowered. He ruled this school. Evan was one of the few vampires who was born, a pureblood, and was forced to attend a human school. He looked down as his current girlfriend, Ashley, latched onto his arm.

"Hey babe." Ashley said, pressing her boobs against his arm. Evan was starting to get tired of her and was getting ready to drain her soon. Evan was a prize and everyone wanted him, no matter how cold he was. He was hot and that's all that mattered to these humans. He looked as a boy with black hair raced past him. Evan stared a little too long and Ashley gripped his arm tighter.

"What do you want?" Evan asked coldly.

"Let's skip school today." Ashley said, trying to be seductive but failing. Evan rolled his eyes.

"Second period." He answered. Might as well drain her now he thought. Ashley smiled and let go of Evan and walked into class. Evan put his hands in his pocket and walked into his first period, which was history. The room grew quiet and he sat down in the back. After a few seconds, hs cousin, Sarah, walked into the room and sat down in front of him. Right behind her was that black haired boy again. The boy looked around nervously and quickly sat beside Evan. The boys waved but Evan ignored him. He crinkled his nose and took a sniff. Smells like dogs he thought. Sarah turned around with a smile, facing Evan.

"Your mother told me to give this to you." Sarah said, setting a plastic bottle filled with blood on his desk. Evan nodded in thanks and quickly chugged it down and threw it in the trash. He sat back in his desk but was hit with something on his cheek. Evan looked around outraged. The black haired boy looked frightened and quickly grabbed his pencil. "I-im so sorry." The boy said, stammering. "It just flew out of my hand and hit you. I swear it wasn't on purpose." Evan sighed and decided to let him off. "Don't let it happen again." Evan growled and the boy nodded, gulping. He looked away and pretended to be busy. Evan leaned back as the bell rang and the teacher walked in. The teacher looked away from Evan. Even the teachers were afraid of him, since his family owned the school and he can get any of the teachera fired at any moment.

The boy beside him instantly started taking notes. Such a goody two shoes Evan thought, smirking. Ten minutes before the bell rang, the teacher turned around with an announcement.

"Starting today, there will be a two week project with a partner that you will have no time in class to do." The teacher said. "Here are the pairings:

Sarah with Joseph

Holly with Jessica

Matt with David.

The teacher continued until he reached Evan.

Evan looked around, wondering who Charlie was. The new kid beside him gave him a smile.

"Hi. My name is Charlie. It's a pleasure to meet you." The new kid introduced, holding his hand out to Evan. Evan growled which made the new kid recoil.

"Just because we're partners doesn't mean we are friends." Evan growled. Charlie looked pissed.

"I'm not trying to be your friend." Charlie said, his voice slightly raised. "I was trying to be civil. You don't have to be such a dick." Evan chuckled, he liked this boy.
