The rest of the story is set 1 year after the engagement. At this point Stiles is 19 and Derek is 24 (soon to be 25). I just want to let you know a few details about this book. Derek is now the alpha, Scott has moved from Beacon Hills, Stiles is living with Derek in the Hale house, Malia and Kira are dating, Scott and Isaac are in a long distance relationship, Lydia and Jordon are also dating and living together and planning to have children. So, a lot has changed in a year to say the least.

"Stiles, honey, could you come here for a moment?" Derek shouted from the living room. Stiles quickly made his way downstairs, pecking Derek's cheek as he reached the living room.

"What's up?" He said cheerfully, wrapping his arms around his fiancée from behind.

"Why is there still a box of your stuff here? You've been living here for almost a year now and you've still not unpacked everything?" He chuckled as he turned around to face him.

"It's only my games consoles and stuff, I can't really unpack that when you don't have a TV can I?" Stiles chuckled as he looked at the box on the floor.

"Okay, I guess I see your point." Derek said, pecking the younger man's lips. They both practically jumped out of their skin when Stiles' phone rang loudly, echoing throughout the house. "Who is it?"

"It's my dad," he replied, swiping the green button on his phone and putting it on speaker. "hi dad."

"Hey kiddo, how's things?"

"Everything's great, we're tasting wedding cakes tomorrow so I'm super excited." Stiles said as him and Derek sat on the sofa hand in hand.

"You know, sometimes I feel like you're marrying me for the sake of getting to eat so much cake." Derek chuckled causing Stiles to giggle and rest his head on his shoulder.

"Oh, hi Derek."

"Hey Mr Stilinski, how's everything?"

"Good thanks. Actually, I have some bad news for you two. Well, mainly for Derek."

"Dad, what's going on?" Stiles said beginning to panic. He held Derek's hand to reassure him things would be okay.

"Well, I heard in the station the other day that the Hale house is being knocked down."

"What?!?" Derek couldn't believe what he'd just heard. Stiles moved closer to him to wrap his arms around him.

"It's a mostly burnt down house, Derek. They couldn't possibly know anyone was still living there. I'm sorry."

"When are they knocking it down?" Stiles asked as he rubbed Derek's thigh to comfort him.

"A week tomorrow. So I suggest you get out of there in a week so you don't interfere with the demolition."

Derek got up and went to the bedroom, slamming the door behind him. Stiles hated seeing Derek like this, it broke his heart.

"I should go dad, I need to make sure he's okay." Stiles sighed.

"I understand son, I love you."

"I love you, too, dad. Bye." He hung up and went upstairs to the bedroom door, knocking on it. "Derek, honey, can I come in."

All he heard was silence, then a loud crash. He recognised that crash any time. It was the sound of Derek's fist through the wall.

"Go away." Derek sobbed, punching the wall again and again. Stiles entered anyway, he needed to calm Derek down before he knocked the whole house down.

"Derek, baby, you need to calm down. I know it hurts but this isn't going to change anything." Stiles said as he walked towards Derek.

"I said leave me alone!" Derek growled, throwing a punch at Stiles. Luckily, he still knew everything Derek taught him when he trained him to fight and managed to grip Derek's wrist before his fist hit Stiles' face. Soon after, Derek swung at him again with his claws, Stiles managed to stop him again.

"Derek, trying to hurt me or yourself isn't going to help you feel any better." Stiles shouted, letting go of the older man's wrists.

"That's why I told you to leave me alone!" Derek shouted back, throwing both fists in Stiles direction, Stiles stopping them once again.

"I'm not leaving you on your own Derek! This is my bedroom too!" He shouted again. Derek was trying to push him out of the room making Stiles use all his strength to push him back. They just stood there trying to push each other, neither of them budging an inch.

Before they knew it, they were knelt on the floor cuddling and crying into each other's shoulders. They stayed like this for a while until they couldn't possibly cry anymore.

"Hey, look at me." Stiles said, lifting Derek's head to create direct eye contact. "I know it'll be hard to let go of this place, you've been here you're whole life. But you're going to have to move on. We can make new memories together in our very own house. So many new memories."

"Like what?" Derek sniffed as a tear rolled down his cheek. Stiles wiped it away with his thumb and kissed his cheek.

"Like when we get married, when we have our first child, if we ever get a pet, us growing old together. We have all of that to look forward to, all of which will be memories we can make in our new home." Stiles said, cupping Derek's face and stroking his cheeks with his thumbs.

"You think about having kids?" Derek asked, a weak smile creeping onto his face.

"Of course I do. You're the love of my life, I'm constantly imagining the future I have with you and some day I hope that means us having a family." He smiled before gently pressing his lips against Derek's, leaning his forehead against the older man's after pulling away. "Unless you don't want to, then maybe we can just get a dog." Stiles laughed, earning a small chuckle from Derek.

"I'd love to have a family with you, Stiles. As long as I have you and our little family, I couldn't care less where we live." Derek said, pulling Stiles into a soft hug. After a few minutes of sitting in each other's warm embrace, Derek lifted Stiles up and brought him to bed where they both fell asleep in each other's company.
