Derek didn't know what to do now. He couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. He felt as if he were paralysed, unable to let go of the boy who laid dead in his arms. This was, of course, until Argent regained consciousness. He sat up, rubbing his head and looked at Derek. He never thought he'd see the day where Derek Hale would show actual emotions.

Derek lifted his head and looked at Argent, his eyes glowing alpha red. "You did this." He said quietly. "This is your fault. You killed Stiles."

"Derek, it was an accident. These things happen." Argent said, backing away slowly as Derek stood up and glared at him.

"You killed an innocent human! You killed my mate!" He growled before pouncing at Argent, attacking him viciously.

"Derek! Don't take out your anger on me!" Argent choked as Derek clenched his throat. "You're just mourning."

"You killed him!" Derek shouted before bursting into tears. He collapsed next to Argent, letting out a howl. The howl of pure pain and heartbreak.

About half an hour later, Isaac burst through the door with the rest of the pack. "Derek, I heard your howl. What happen-" he started saying before he saw Derek on the floor, holding Stiles body close to him yet again.

"What happened?" Kira asked Argent who sat on the sofa with his head in his hands.

"Me and my men came to kill Derek. One of the men shot at him, he dodged it and the bullet shot Stiles. He's been dead for hours." Argent said quietly.

"How long has Derek been like that?" Malia asked, squeezing Kira's hand to try cheer her up a little.

"Since it happened." Argent sighed.

"This isn't healthy," Lydia said. "he can't stay like this forever."

She squeezed through the pack members and made her way to Derek, sitting next to him. "Derek," she said softly. "Derek I need you to look at me." She added, lifting his head to see his tear stained face. "We know this is harder for you than it is for any of us, but he's gone. We can't change it now. I won't say you need to move on, but I will say this. You need to look after yourself. Yes, Stiles may be gone, but you're still here. He'd want you to be happy and continue to live."

Derek looked at her, tears still spilling from his eyes. Lydia gently wiped away the tears and pulled Derek into a hug, allowing him to cry into her until he was bone dry.

"Derek," she whispered as they released from the hug. "I'm gonna ask you to go take a nice long shower, get dressed and rest. We won't move him, he'll still be here when you get back." Derek nodded before Lydia helped him stand up. "Isaac, could you take him to the bathroom and help him when you can. I'm sure he'd prefer for another guy to help than me."

Isaac nodded and took over for Lydia, helping Derek shower and get dressed. By the time he was done, everyone else had left. Everyone but Isaac and Lydia.

"You guys don't have to stay." Derek whispered, his voice strained from all the crying.

"We're staying, Derek." Lydia insisted.

"We're a pack, we stick together through everything. Especially after the death of another pack member." Isaac added.

"Uh, where's Stiles?" Derek said, searching the floor for Stiles' body.

"He's not over there?" Lydia questioned.

"No..."

"If he's moved that must mean-"

"He's still alive!" Derek said, interrupting Isaac. "Stiles? Stiles!" He shouted through the house as he checked every room downstairs.

"Derek..." said the familiar voice of Stiles Stilinski who stood at the bottom of the stairs. Derek stopped and looked at him in shock before running and wrapping the boy in a tight hug.

"You're alive!" He shouted, crying into his shoulder.

"I'm alive!" Stiles sobbed, hugging Derek tight.

"Hold on," Derek said, stepping back. "if you're alive then that means-"

"Yeah," Stiles interrupted. "I'm a werewolf."
