Elizabeth was beginning to come to her co conclusion. She knew that Remus was who she really wanted. If he was as mature as she thought he was, he wouldn't let a relationship that didn't work out ruin what they already had, as they were close already. He was the first to accept her even when it didn't look good, and that was no small thing.
Elizabeth just had no clue on how to tell him. It's one of the first crushes that she's ever had due to many reasons. Most of her time was spent running and hiding from everyone. She'd never had time to develop any feelings other than fear or hatred to many of the people she'd met in her life.
But the people at Hogwarts were a lot different than those people. Maybe she could eventually leave her past behind and create a future among the students. No one would ever have to know who she really was, or who she really had been.
"Liz, hey."
Elizabeth jumped at the sound of Remus' voice before she smiled nervously.
"Oh, hey."
"You alright?" he asked worriedly, a barely noticeable frown appearing:
"Yeah, I'm great. Are you great? I mean- alright?"
Remus prevented himself from smirking. He knew why she was so nervous, and he was actually quite happy about it. Elizabeth liked him in the same way that he likes her. At least, he assumed.
"I'm great," he said, sitting a bit closer to her than what was usual.
Her breath quickened slightly. Elizabeth reached for the eggs in an attempt to distract herself from the feeling of Remus simply being near her.
Remus chuckled quietly, being mostly unused to Elizabeth being so nervous around him.
Not that he was complaining.
Elizabeth glared at him. She though it was obvious what he was doing, and even worse, it was working. It would make her go crazy. He was literally going to drive her insane.
And, surprisingly, Elizabeth found that she wasn't as opposed to the idea as she should've been.

After classes, Elizabeth was sitting at the table, plate full of food untouched in front of her as she did her homework.
She felt an arm snake around her waist and knew almost immediately that it was Remus. The fact that she could even tell worried her slightly. Elizabeth blushed but refused to let him know how much he was really affecting her.
She felt his breathing on her ear as he scooted closer. She shifted slightly inn her seat, clearing her throat awkwardly. She tried to regain her focus and finish her incomplete homework, but could feel James and Sirius smirking at her.
Elizabeth huffed and bit her lip, beginning to consider running back to her house table with the Slytherins. After one look at them glaring at her, she decided against it.
"Hey," Remus whispered in her ear, breath sending tingles up and down her body causing her to shiver slightly.
She shoved him away, blowing a strand of hair out of her face angrily and crossing her arms. James and Sirius began to practically choke on their own laughter. Remus couldn't help but smile slightly.
"I hate everyone," she muttered, frustrated.
She knew she was mostly so infuriated due to the fact that she had enjoyed it more than she wished she had.

Now that he had a feeling that Elizabeth liked him, Remus was enjoying teasing her immensely. He knew it was only a matter of time before she started fighting back, though. Remus wasn't quite sure if he was ready for that. He felt lucky that Elizabeth was spending more time being extremely flustered rather than planning on how to get back at him.
He though about this as he sat on the grass outside of Hogwarts. He had no idea what Elizabeth gonna end up doing in order to make him as nervous as he had done to her.
Suddenly, he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist carefully, pulling him close. Elizabeth got closer, burying her head in the crook of his neck.
"Hey," she said, lips brushing against his neck.
He shivered before he growled at the reference from only two days ago. He could feel her lips morphing into a smirk before he pushed her off, causing her to start laughing.
Remus grabbed her arm gently but firmly, pulling her up and slowly pinning her against a nearby tree.
He put his hands on either side of her head, face extremely close to hers. She glanced at his lips before looking back at his eyes.
Remus looked at her for a moment, finally making up his mind. He gradually began to get closer, her arms wrapping around his waist as his hands moved to cup her face.
Remus groaned, sounding torn apart as he shoved himself off of her forcefully and away from the tree. He paced back and forth, hands getting tangled in his hair as he pulled at it roughly.
"What? What happened?"
"Hailey," Remus said desperately.
She blanched at him saying her real name, but had no time to speak before he continued.
"I want you so bad, you have no idea. It was so hard for me to walk away from you like that. But Hails, we're keeping too many secrets from each other. Too much that the both of us haven't explained yet. You with your past and identity, and me with... certain things. I want to know you before I get into this, and I want you to know everything about me. It's been extremely difficult to keep myself in check, but this isn't how I want this to happen. With us barely knowing each other."
Elizabeth watched in shock as he stormed off, heading back toward Hogwarts, hands still tugging and pulling at his hair, looking extremely conflicted and, even worse, broken and desperate over something that he wants so terribly but can't have. Not yet.
Elizabeth couldn't help but feel the same.
