"James, I have to admit, this stupid plan of yours sounds a lot less stupid than some of the others you've somehow come up with."

James grinned triumphantly.

"See? I told you I could make good plans."

Sirius appeared skeptical, but didn't bother to say anything.

James glared anyway.

"I see that look."

Sirius shrugged.

"Can you blame me?"

"No," James admitted in defeat before frowning, "but that doesn't mean you have to be so open about it."

Sirius couldn't help but snort at how overly-offended he sounded.

"If I didn't tell you how stupid you are, then I don't know who would."

"You act like you're not just as stupid, if not more."

Sirius glared.

"Elizabeth!" Remus exclaimed brightly.

His face lit up as she sat across from him, grinning at the sight of him.

"Hey, Rem. Hi, James, Sirius, Peter."

James and Sirius glanced at each other before slightly nodding.

"Hey, Liz. I just remembered, me, Sirius, and Peter here have something to do right about now, totally forgot. So, it'll kinda just be you and Remus, but I'm sure it's alright!"

James hurriedly walked out, Sirius and Peter following.

Elizabeth frowned.

"Since when do those three ever have anything to do this early?"

Remus looked confused as well.

"I have no clue. Usually nothing ever interrupts their time to eat."

Elizabeth just tried to shrug it off, appear nonchalant.

"Maybe it's important, or about you. Or maybe they're just... I don't know."

Seeing Remus' slightly distressed and worried look, she smiled at him, doing her best to reassure him. She reached across the table and rested her hands on his gently.
