"Are You serious Talia?!" Shayne asked me during our Lunch break. "Yep! I asked Mr. Joules this Morning and since he trust me that I won't tell anyone about it, He told me that our Activity in Music is that He will pair us in 2 and will sing a song and He will choose 2 group of pairs that He likes and those 2 group of pairs will be the competitors in the international Music Month. There will be Lots of People."
"Oh my gosh! This is our Chance to shine!" She squealed so loud that she caught some attentions in the cafeteria. Oh my. "Tone down Shayne. I'm not happy about it. You know how I hate attention. Once I'm paired with someone, it's either I let him or her down or If we win I won't show up on the day of the competition."
"Come on Talia, it can't be that bad. You're keeping yourself in your shell again. Loosen up. Didn't I told you to Be Yourself and Show others what you're capable of? You're only saying that because you're scared of the people's reaction. Do you want to hide in your shell forever? it's not good you know."
"I don't know, it's just that, what if I sucks? what if I fail? All of them will laugh at me and I'll be miserable. My Life will be miserable", I sighed and slump my head on the table. "You won't! I mean, You're amazing everyday and always will be. You just have to be Yourself so you won't fail. You need to be Brave sometimes you know. You can't just run away and hide from your Fears, you have to face it sooner whether you Like it or not." She's right though, I can't hide away forever, I have to face my fears, I have to ignore those negative reactions from the People around. So once I did it, I'll show that Cole Brooks that he can't Boss everyone around! right! "OKAY! I'M DOING IT!" I said with determination. "That's My Talia! now let's go so we won't be late in our Music Class." Shayne said with a very cheerful voice.
"Nice of you to join us Mr. Brooks, Mr. Collins, Mr. Edwards and Mr. Porter. Do you have any idea what time is it now?" Mr. Joules said with a hint of anger in his voice. "Do you think We care about time? or maybe, Do you know that at this 'Time' I can kick you out of this school and get a new Teacher? I think it will be horrible if I kick you out of this school and put something bad in your record, I doubt any company will accept you." That monster Brooks said emphasizing the 'time' and his Group of Bullying friends laugh. I saw the face of Poor Mr. Joules, 'Those assholes! seriously, don't they have any respect and manners for the Teachers and students here?!' I can feel my blood boiling inside and my hands clutching the pen that I'm holding, tight. I felt a soft nudge on my arm coming from my Bestfriend. "Are you okay? your face is red, Don't burst out if you don't want to get punish." Shayne whispered softly in my ears.I nodded and Look back at the teacher again, "Just please at least knock so that the class won't be disturb." Mr Joules said in a calm way but I know he's holding back his anger. The 4 assholes didn't respond instead, they make their way at the back, 2 desks away at the back from mine and Shayne's. Mr. Joules cleared his throat and tried to get everyone else's attention for the classroom is starting to get noisy. "Okay! Listen up now!" He clapped his hands thrice and it caught everyone's attention. "Back to what I'm saying Lately, Our activity will be, I'll pair everyone in 2 and you will sing any song with the accompaniment of instruments and it's up to you if you will add any instrumental background, any type of instruments is okay, It's either Rock, Pop or alternative Genre. Your performance will be in Friday. I'll choose 2 group of pairs and those 2 will be the competitors in the international Music month, which will be held in our Gymnasium since we had the Largest gymnasium in town. I expect everyone's Cooperation in this. Now, I'll say the name of your partners." Mr Joules said and go on with the lists of names and their partners. "Mr. Brooks you're with Mr. Collins and Mr. Edwards you're with Mr. Porter." I heard the assholes cheered and high five each other. "Lastly", I looked at my bestfriend and she did the same with a Grin from Ear to Ear. "Ms. Summers and Ms. Lincoln. Now you have your Pairs, you can start Choosing your Music now and Start practicing tomorrow in the Music Rooms. You can choose your own music rooms. That's all. If there's any question you can come to my Office. Thank You students and Good day" and with that Mr. Joules left the classroom, I cheered along with my bestfriend not until I heard someone say, "Hmmph. Nerds!" and guess who said that? Yes! The Asshole monster! Cole Brooks!
I went home straight after school. I was thinking if a Beyonce song would be nice or not. I quickly run upstairs in my room and get changed after that I texted Shayne,
'Do You think a Beyonce song would be nice? Reply ASAP please :) ~Talia .Xx'
[phone beep]
'ShayneBrightLikeADiamond: Yep! I think it would be nice, So what song did you come up with?'
'Halo! I really Love that song! So do you think we can sing that? ~Talia .Xx'
You'll call me insane but, Yes, that's Shayne's name in my phone. Please don't tell her or she'll kill me. [phone beep]
'ShayneBrightLikeADiamond: Of course we can! We just need to practice it, at the same time, No cold waters or sodas. It will ruin our Voices. Okay?'
'Got it! Thank You Shayne see you tomorrow. ~Talia .Xx'
After my conversation with Shayne, I decided to have fun for a little and Skate outside. I put on my Vans shoes and Grab my Skateboard and went to the Skatepark. I miss being Free. I miss being me. Meet the real me.
"I wonder what the Skatepark looks like after 2 years I'm gone" I said to myself as I skate on my way to the Skatepark. Once I reached the Skatepark it's still amazing, New Obstacles, Ramps, Bars, Stairs and ---- WHAT?! what the Hell are they doing here?!
