When John and his kids found out that Alice was "dead," they were heartbroken and upset. Alice was the best mom and girlfriend anyone could ask for. Alice worked hard and never let anything get in her way or bring her down. John had always loved that she was so energetic and happy, and his kids always reminded him of her. That's why he decided to have a funeral for Alice and celebrate her death.

John, his kids, the family of both him and his girlfriend, had the funeral and there were some people that were upset, and even crying. John assured them that she had a good life while she was still with them. Jordan and Kate took care of Melissa and also attended the funeral, but they were always having to attend to Melissa.
After the funeral, the family went out to eat at McDonalds and the kids got to run around the play area and everyone was in better spirits after that. Jordan and Kate love each other and their little sister. Jordan is more of a motherly figure and Kate is the sisterly figure, but they all love each other equally. Even though John lost his girlfriend, he is happy that he still has his family and daughters.
