i think if i had a voice
and a place in your heart
i would scream out the truth
that i cannot love my opposite
gender because i've tripped into
a hole and i'm tumbling and slipping
further and further down
into the pit in which i call
love.
and at the bottom, out of sheer darkness:
i see your bright and starry eyes,
both hopeful and tired of
waiting, but your arms
are stretched out
so i knew that
if i did land,
it would be on you
and i would be safe because you would
catch me.
