Lucas POV:  Alexis vanished in front of him.  She's awake in the real world and once again, he's stuck in the World of Dreams.  He smiled as he walked back to his small home in the Dream World.  He walked along the sidewalk, watching as other people from the real world faded away. Familiars all went their own ways to either their homes or their assigned people.

Alexis was his assigned human but instead of being friends, he fell for her.  11 years of being with her just caught up with him.  Her smile, her laugh, everything. She was amazing.  But like she mentioned to him, he's not real. Lucas sat in the house in front of a tv, "She has a point.  I'm not real.  She's going to find someone real and move on. Then I.." Lucas looked down at his hands that were open wide, "I'll vanish or be moved to the World of Terror."

(Quick lesson... The World of Terror is a world that wants total power over the human race.  Its a world for mentally insane people, a place of torture, fear, and nightmares.)

Lucas watched tv but didn't watch it.  He played the kiss over and over in his head, and each time he did, the more he blushed.  He looked at his clock but then sirens shrieked.  Every familiar ran out of their homes and gathered a long the streets.

Lucas watched as familiars got paired in groups by species. Mythical, reptiles, mammals, humans, and magical.  Lucas slowly walked to the human group, awaiting an explanation. Then a voice boomed throughout the World of Dreams, "My Fellow familiars of World of Dreams.  This world is on lock down."  Lock down? Why is there a lock down?

"The World of Terror has declared war against us again."

"Are we going to do anything about this?",  screamed a familiar.

"Sadly we can't. They are far more powerful now.  They have raised an army...we will be sending a few of you out to the real world."

      "But why?"

"There are a few relics in the real world that will give us more power and help us win this war."

"We are sending familiars into the real world to find these relics. The familiars sent to the real world will have the needed supplies."

Lucas stood in the crowd in shock.  Familiars in the real world?  He could exist in the real world?  "The maps aren't really specific but they show you the area of where the relic is located."

"We will give the chosen familiars a potion for their return home, as well as a specific weapon.  You won't choose your weapon but it will choose you."

Lucas turned to a familiar next to him and chuckled, "Sounds cheesy..."  The familiar glared at him, and Lucas immediately turned back around. "Take note, this is the World of Dreams...you're weapons can be anything, and they will stay the same in the real world."

"Now let's go through the list of chosen familiars."  the voice said.  Lucas watched as certain familiars began to float up to the clouds, preparing to leave the world.  Finally he heard his name, "LUCAS! You're assigned to the southern states."  Lucas began to float up to the clouds and thought to himself, "I'm coming Alexis...I'm finally going to be real."  Lucas landed on the cloud where mostly human familiars stood, but animals were there too.

"In front of you is some armor with certain "talents" with them. You will stand in a line and wait to receive your weapon and map for your relics."  Lucas walked among a table where other familiars waited.  Armors of sorts were laid out.  But only two caught his eyes. A chest plate that looked like it belong in medieval times that had a dragon emblem on it, and there was armor that seemed to belong to a comic with a paw on it.  After examining the armor thoroughly, he decided to go with the dragon armor.

He took off his hoodie and put on the chest plate, but covered it up in his hoodie.  "Alright hurry up with the armor and line up!"  Lucas ran to the line and stood in order.  An orb stopped and equipped familiars with their weapons, and the voice continued to speak, "You all have three months to find these relics.  But take note...time flies. Once you have your weapon, wait to be thrown into to the real world."  The orb stopped at Lucas and a clipboard popped up. "One rule you all must follow...your assigned human can know your secret but stay on alert...don't blow your cover.  Nightmares and terrors are going to be in the real world too."

The orb made a cloud float up to Lucas but he couldn't see his weapon, at least not yet.  The orb made him hold out his hands and two swords fell onto his hands.  One had red flames and the other had blue flames.  Then two scabbards looped onto his belt loop of his jeans.  Familiars stared at Lucas, but the voice spoke, "Looks like we have a familiar with the twin swords from Hell itself.  Good luck kid..., you're going to need it."

"Wait, what?!", exclaimed Lucas but no one answered because a map appeared in one of his pockets the before he knew it, he was shot into the air.  Lucas spent two days flying through what he thinks was a portal. Then he saw it...the earth.  But then he began to fall into the atmosphere. Flames surrounded Lucas but he didn't feel any pain.  Could it be the chest plate?  Before he could think about it, Lucas crashed into a tree next to a high school.

"Ow...that really hurt." said Lucas as he rubbed his head in pain. "Where am I?  Why does this place look or seem familiar?", then Lucas turned towards a softball and baseball field, then there he saw her.  Alexis.  In the flesh...it's not the World of Dreams anymore.  This is real. He's real.  Lucas watched as Alexis walked into the school, and he decided to follow her. The halls were too familiar, but people stared at him.  Although he didn't seem surprised, he's a new face, with a hoodie that makes him seem stronger, swords in scabbards on each side of him, and his hair covered his eyes.  Who wouldn't stare.  Lucas stopped.  There she is, Alexis is at her locker. Lucas walked towards her, "I'm finally real."
