Chapter 9

Alexis was awoken from her sleep by her phone's alarm that blared loudly in her ear. Alexis fell out her bed. "Ow, that hurt.", she said as she slowly crawled onto her bed. She turned off her alarm and sat on the bed, staring at the wall, spacing out. A few minutes passed then Alexis got up and gathered her clothes before she hoped into shower.

Alexis finished her shower then walked to Lucas's bedroom. There he slept peacefully, his arms were wrapped around a pillow. His blankets were on the floor, and the rest of his pillows were scattered throughout the room. He must've had a rough night. Alexis smiled, and walked to the bedside and knelt down next to him.

"Lucas, it's time to get up."

"5 more minutes.", he groaned.

"No, you wake up now.", Alexis said while laughing.

"Fine", Lucas said as he slowly woke up and sat up. He rubbed his eyes and looked up at Alexis. "What time is it?"

"Uhhhh...its 7:30 a.m."

Lucas stood up and looked down at Alexis. She forgot that he was not only a year older but he was taller. She smiled and got on her tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. "I'll go get you clothes now that you're awake." Lucas nodded, and began picking up the scattered bedding. Alexis ran to the basement, and searched for her brother's clothes.

In the dark corner, there laid the box of her brother's clothes. She picked up the heavy box and walked to Lucas's bedroom. She knocked on the door, "I have clothes for you. It may be a little big though." Lucas opened that door, and grabbed the box, his hair was messed up as soon as they locked eyes, she saw his different colored eyes. "T-Thank you."

Alexis nodded and walked to the kitchen. She texted her friends, and checked up her Instagram. She was so glued to her phone that she didn't realize that Lucas was creeping up behind her. He tapped her shoulder. She screamed and dropped her phone on the table. "I'm so sorry,

"It's fine. I need a good jump now and then." she said, as she picked up her phone. She finally looked up at Lucas. He was wearing military boots, torn jeans, with a red flannel, and a beanie. He was looked ready for the winter weather. It looked perfect on him. His hair still hid his eyes. Alexis was liking what she was seeing, she caught herself checking him out, and he did too. "You like what you see or something?", he said. Alexis blushed and looked down at her phone, "Whaaaaaat? Noooo. Anywho, we have to go now because they're here." Lucas looked at Alexis confused but shrugged and walked to his bedroom to grab the backpack.

Lucas and Alexis walked outside, where two Jeeps stood. Lana poked her head out the driver's window, "Hey! It's dream boy!!" At that very moment, five other heads popped out of the two cars' widows. Alexis laughed and replied, "Will you guys calm your tits and sit down?" Lana jokingly looked down her shirt, "They are calm...whatcha talking about?" Everyone laughed but Lucas continued to question Alexis's friends.

Lucas opened the car door and Alexis got into the car, Lucas followed after Alexis. Lana and Demetri would shoot looks toward Lucas then Alexis. Lucas was too busy looking out the car window, watching as the colors of the real world passed by. Alexi, however, noticed Lana and Demetri shooting her and Lucas looks. As time passed by, they slowly inched closer and closer to the mall. As Lana and Rebecca parked their cars, Demetri, Grace, Yadira, Lucas, and Alexis waited at the entrance. Then Lana and Rebecca joined the group and together they began to walk into the mall.
