Alexis woke up to see that Lucas was sleeping next to her. His arm was wrapped around her waist and his head was buried in her back. She smiled. Her wish had finally come true. Lucas was real and she does have something to wake up to. She sat up and he groaned then turned over. She tried not to laugh, but once she stopped wanting to laugh, she realized how cute he looked when he slept.

She got out of the bed and walked to the kitchen. She made herself a cup of coffee, and little did she know, Lucas woke up. He walked to the dining room and sat at the table. He laid his head on the table. Alexis walked to the table with her coffee, "You're awake?" Lucas nodded and stretched, "What's that great smell?" "It's coffee. It has smell and taste...unlike the World of Dreams. Lucas laughed.

The front door slammed open. Alexis's dad was home.

Lucas and Alexis's dad immediately locked eyes, "Alexis...who's the boy?" Alexis's mom ran and grabbed Alexis's dad, "This boy is staying with us. His parents died and he has nowhere to go. Soooooo...I told him that he could stay here." Her dad walked up to Lucas, "My house, my rules. I don't care if you like my daughter or anything. You hurt her, I'm kicking you to the streets. Got it?" Lucas quickly nodded and backed away into a corner. Alexis began to laugh. "Alexis, there's some leftovers in the fridge if you're hungry.", her mom said before joining her dad in their room.

"He's scary.", said Lucas as he walked up to Alexis. She laughed, "Yeah, he is." Lucas pointed towards the hallway, "I'm just going to go to bed."

"What about dinner?"

"I'm not used to eating. In the World of dreams, there's no hunger. And there really, isn't taste."

"Oh. Well, join us for dinner then you can go to sleep."

"Fine. Only because I fear that if I decline, I'll regret it." Alexis laughed, "I have my secrets." Lucas laughed as he sat at the dining room table. Alexis stood in the kitchen, pulling out leftovers from the fridge. Lucas rested his table on the table, slowly dozing off. When he opened his eyes, a plate with chicken, corn, and some mashed potatoes and gravy was in front of him. "When did this pop up?", he said pointing at the plate.

Alexis laughed, "It's called heating up leftovers. You should totally eat it. It was flavor." Lucas nodded and sat up. "This still seems like witchcraft." Alexis laughed again and began to eat her dinner. Lucas poked at his plate before finally eating the food that sat in front of him. He took a bit then froze as he stared at the food. A minute passed then he began to eat the food like a starving animal. He finished before Alexis could take a third bite. "Did you like it? I'm not sure you even tasted it considering how fast you ate it."

"I loved it. I never thought food would be so delicious."

"The taste was something I've never knew existed." Alexis laughed as Lucas went on about food. It's remarkable that so much happened in one day. Lucas popped up into her life when he was a dream boy. Now a war is going on, and Lucas is living with her and her family. She caught herself staring at him when she was deep in thought. She quickly looked down at her plate and went back to eating.

They did the normal chores that had to be done, and walked to Lucas's bedroom. Alexis stopped at his doorway. "Hey Lucas, you think you'd want to go to go with me and some of my friends, out in town tomorrow?" Lucas turned and nodded, "I'm fine with going anywhere, just as long as I'm with you" She looked down at the ground and blushed. "O-okay. I'll wake you up in the morning and I'm sure I could find you something to wear for tomorrow."

"After all, I have my brother's old clothes."

"You have a brother?"

"Oh. That's right, I never told you."

"Yeah, I have a brother. But he moved out a couple years ago. He never returned to get the rest of his clothes." Lucas nodded once more then walked up to Alexis who still stood in his doorway. He lifted her head up with his finger lifting her chin up. He smiled and lightly brushed his lips on top her forehead, "Goodnight Alexis. Thank you for everything." She smiled, "Goodnight Lucas, I'm glad your finally real and here." She turned and walked to her bedroom and turned around one last time and smiled. They both smiled as they gazed into each other's eyes then closed their doors.
