Melody wakes up in the arms of her best friend, Edison, sighing softly and smiling at the sleeping boy, kissing his cheek and getting up, she grabs her plain white dress that was thrown across the room the night before, putting it on and pulling on a clean pair of underwear and the jacket he gave her so many years ago, going to prepare food for them in the makeshift area they call their kitchen. Today's the day they decided to finally leave this tree house and find a better place, it's the middle of June and decently warm, enough to be able to camp comfortably. He wakes up and wraps his arms around her waist, leaving soft kisses on her neck and cheek.

"Morning liebe~" he whispers into her ear, she giggles.

"Morning Ed, how'd you sleep?"

"Amazing with you next to me~" she feels her face heat up, pressing against him, placing her hands over his, turning around to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck, somehow she now has a chocolate covered pretzel stick in her mouth, having managed to get enough money to buy a small pack of them, knowing there his favorite type of sweets, he gasps.

"Y-You... how?!" She shrugs, using her fingers to part his mouth and place the other end of the stick in his mouth, he takes a bite. They share the stick, leading into a sweet kiss, there lips not breaking contact for a while. When one of them finally pulls back, she giggles and holds up the pack, placing it in his hands.

"They're all yours, Ed. Call them your lunch, I know today we need to work extra hard at work, yes?" His face glows as the light bulb goes off, remembering what's happening today.

"Oh! Right! Today we leave!" She nods, giggling and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek, escaping his arms.

"Which means someone needs to get to their early shift, yes?" He nods, quickly placing a kiss on her forehead.

"I'll be home soon liebe!~" he climbs down the ladder and sprints off towards his job at the hardware store in the middle of town, they usually take turns going to work every other day, but today she has to pack everything their bringing and get ready. She loads the little of their possessions into a plastic bag she got the last time she went shopping, grabbing their savings and walking to the market, when she passed the hardware store she looks in and waves at Edison, he smiles and waves back, she heads for the store to pick up some food for the road, smiling sweetly at the cashier, nodding at them and walking down to the aisle where they sell the easiest to preserve food, grabbing some bags of trail mix and protein bars, going and checking out, taking the bag and placing it in the other one she has, walking back to the hardware store and walking in, nodding at the other workers as she passes, finding Edison just now ending his shift.

"Ready to go, liebe?" She asks, he nods, grabbing her hand and waving bye to everyone as they walk out, heading down the road. As they pass the tree house, they pause for a second to stare at it in silent recollection of the memories they share in it, she shakes a little, this signifies she's crying, he pulls her into a hug, rubbing her back soothingly.

"Shhh liebe, it's time we leave this place behind..." she nods, nuzzling her face into his neck, taking a deep unneeded breath.

"Your right... lets go." He nods, they pull away from each other and hold hands, walking down the long path, heading who knows where.
