The Train Station

"Where the hell did you go for five plane tickets this expensive!"

My father exploded when he saw his credit card bill.  Let's just say I was in deep trouble.

"Well I'm sorry that me and my friends had to travel to a rainforest to cute Fernando's amnesia, ended up getting captured twice then discovering a portal. We had to get home SOMEHOW!", I retaliated.

"And your first thought wasn't to take the kid to the HOSPITAL? Between the five of you I'd assume you would think to say 'Hey this is a little insane of us! Let's talk to an adult!' What in the name of hell is wrong with you?!"

With that he hit me upside the head with all of his might. I could've sworn I had a bump on my head after ward.

"How did you even get my credit card?!"

Another hit.

Then another.

He left my room with angry footsteps then slammed my door. I missed school and my friends.  Emily had moved out after our little adventure so I had nobody to talk to about what happened.  Thinking about school made me think about other problems like homework and transportation.  I began my letter to Hogwarts having a feeling I would need a ride to the station.

Dear Headmistress,
This year I fear that I will not be able to make it to the train station.  There are no wizards or witches in my community and let's just say I'm in a spot of trouble.  Is there a way I can get transport there?  I'll also inform you that Emily is staying the Albus Potter because why not.  I await your response.

I sealed my letter then realized I had no way to send it.  I guess I could try a spell or something,
"HOOT HOOT" Oh yea I have an owl.
"Calm down Vinile!  I'm sorry!  Sheesh!" I tied the letter to her leg and to her to go to school.  She nodded her head almost in response.  She ruffled her feathers them flew away.  I hate staying here.  I already packed my stuff up but don't know how I'll leave for tomorrow.

The next morning I woke up to an owl screeching in my ear.  It wasn't Vinile, she was next to the other owl.  This owl was snowy white and looked (and sounded) way too energetic.  I noticed the letter and small package tied to her leg and grabbed it.  The letter read:

Dear Miss Hedge,
I have received your letter on transportation and taken your situation into consideration.  I do hope you have a fireplace because inside of the package accompanying this letter is Floo Powder, a-

I threw the letter aside and ran downstairs screaming "FLOO POWDER POWER" repeatedly with the package in my hand.  I grabbed my suitcase and ran to the old house a couple blocks down.  I knew there was a fireplace inside.  The door creaked when I opened it and the sunlight glaring through the window's tattered curtains gave the house a spoopy feeling.  The hallway was short and brought me to a medium sized room where the fire place was.  I only had a match on me and no firewood.  I cursed.  I reached into my bag for some parchment paper and found a decent sized piece.  Once I lit it on fire, I threw the emerald powder into the flames.  Surprised the fire did not feel any warmer when I stepped in it, I took a little more and said, "Platform 9(3/4)!"

I felt like I was being flushed down a toilet.  There was only a blurry green as I swirled down into the abyss keeping a death like grip on my bag and my eyes screwed shut.  I didn't notice my feet were on the ground until I heard the usual bustling of the platform.

"Amanda.  Amanda!  AMANDA!", a voice jolted me out of my fixed position.  I slowly opened my eyes to see Albus waving his hand in front of my face.  He smiled at me gave me a hug.

"It's nice to see you too, Al.  Where's everyone else?", I looked around but didn't see them anywhere.

"On the train, come on!"  He grabbed my hand and pulled me to their compartment.  They were all joking and laughing, having a good time as always when they looked up and saw me.  Most of their faces smiled just as usually as they were before and invited me to sit.  Except for Annabeth.  Before she had looked a little glum but when she saw me she gasped, shot up and hugged me.

"I had no idea if you were coming or not.  I was so worried," I hugged back but confused nevertheless.

"Why so worried?  Of course I'd be here!"

She shook her head but continued to smile.  She sat back down and patted the spot next to her.  I smiled widely and gladly sat down.  I copied answers off of Al, cause Anna wouldn't let me.

Our fun was interrupted by a first year girl that had straight black hair and a bright pink headband with an obnoxiously large flower on it.  She walked into our compartment without asking and introduced herself.

"My name is Belle, Belle Belon.  My name means "beauty" in French.  I'm very fluent in the language.  I'm a first year and I'm an amazing charmer.  I should definitely skip a year within a few months.  My two lesbian moms will be oh so proud of me when I do.  Don't be jealous when I outsmart all of you in every aspect.  I'm the most amazing chaser ever.  I'll be on the team as a- Hey are all listening????"

"To be honest with you no," I said frowning.

"Why?  I'm telling you how amazing I am,"

"Well that's it ain't it?  You kinda just barged in here and started blabbing.  Not all that nice," Fernando said with a shrug.

Belle looked appalled.  "Well I'll have you know that I was not blabbing, I was explaining.  So ha ha," She stuck her tongue out and pivoted out of the compartment with a "sassy" hair flip

We goofed off until the lunch trolley came around.  Let's just say our compartment was covered in chocolate.

After a couple of hours, we could see the castle out of the window.

Finally I was truly home.
