"I don't see why we couldn't just walk to wherever it is we are going." Cole says, looking out the passenger side window.

"You want to walk to the next town over because I gladly don't. Now, if you're going to be a bust in my ass, you can go on somewhere."

Fake gasping, he puts a hand on his heart and looks over to me. "I can go on somewhere? Me? No no honey, you need to go somewhere. I'm only attending because my brother obviously doesn't trust you enough to do a simple task on your own."

"Simple task? Im sorry man but you got into the wrong car."

"Wha-hat are you talking about?" He says, showing a little fright in his voice.

"We about to beat some people's asses, fuck you mean, 'simple task?'"

"I didn't know we were going to do that. What's your plan?" He mumbled, clearly embarrassed.

"That's for me to know and for you to never find out."

Rolling his eyes, he looks straight ahead at the road. Pointing to the back road that I just passed, he mentions, "You could have turned there!"

"Yeah and I could have shot you, but-HEY JENNIFER SLOWPEZ GET OUT THE ROAD!!"

"She's like NINETY!" He explains after me.

"And you're LIKE NINETY!" I yell back, still mad at the old lady that cut me off.

"I'm NINETEEN!!"

"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I CARE?!"

"WATCH THE ROAD, GEEZ LADY!"Cole says, serving us back into our lane after I had forgotten I was in charge of driving. I swatted his hand away from the wheel as we came to a stop.

"We're going to be here forever!"

"If you had just turned when I sa-" I cut him off.

"Look, Brainiac! If I wanted to turn we would have turned, but I didn't! So you're going to sit in this car and shut the fuck up before I tell Dylan that you went off the grid and completely abandoned this mission!"

He huffed sitting back in the seat, staring at me with daggers for eyes. "Just because you work for Dylan doesn't mean he'll choose you over me." He sat, crossing his arms over one another.

"Fat chance, pal," I told him.

"What would you know? You probably don't even have siblings, let alone a damn twin!" He growled at me, evidently possessive of Dylan.

I crossed my arms, looking over at the eighteen wheeler blocking the California sun from burning us inside this no air conditioned car.

"Oh, so now you shut up?" He spoke to me, looking over.

I pushed the almost fallen tears away, shaking my head. I looked back onto the road ahead of us that is backed up with cars as far as the eye can see; which isn't very far due to all the eighteen wheelers on the road.

"You don't know a thing about me, pal." I growled. Looking at the traffic ahead of again, I huff and pulled out my phone.

"Don't text and drive, that's very dangerous."

"DOES IT LOOK LIKE WE'RE GOING ANYWHERE, SHERLOCK?!" I suggestively yell in his face.

Looking at the traffic ahead of us, he nods his head in agreement. Looking out the passenger window, he asks "Why do you work for Dyl anyway? He's a real fucking lunatic."

"Well that fucking 'lunatic' makes sure I eat and sleep so fuck you." I snapped.

"What's he got over you?"

I looked over to see Cole with his arms crossed over his chest. "What?"

"He's blackmailing you, isn't he?"

"No!" I snapped, sitting upright in my seat. "I work for him because I have to! I work for him so I have a job!"

"Really? Then why'd he threaten to drop you? You're not worried about the 'slowly tortured' thing-"

"How do you know about that?"

"I know my brother, he says that to everyone just to make a statement." He sat up straight, pulling out his phone as well. "Just because we don't talk as much as you guys do, doesn't mean I don't pay attention to his line of work nor that I don't watch out for him."

"Yeah well that didn't mean anything, He was just upset."

"Upset?" He scoffs, "he basically said he will slowly kill you and you call that just upset? You're a little messed up if you think that."

"I'm not messed up, okay? I just rather not fight about it." Sighing, I put my phone away. Answering all of Cole's questions won't ever give me time for my phone

Just as I was about to turn off my phone, I had gotten a text from a blocked number; Dylan.

It read, "You and Cole, shut the phones off now! Stephen knows."

Quickly turning off my phone, I look over to Cole. "Turn off your phone."

"What why?"

"Do not question me. I said, turn off your phone." I said with clear rage laced into my every word.

"Change of plans, Cole. Hold on." I get off at the next exit that is coming up, making us go the opposite way that we are supposed to.

"What do you mean 'change of plans'?"

"I mean that change of plans. Now, let's go change clothes."

"Change clothes, what?" He asks, completely confused.

"Unless you want all your little piggy toes to be slowly cut off, then I suggest you listen to me." I start, "now, you got cash?"

"No."

"Damn, I didn't want to steal but I guess we can just go and ro-."

"No I got it, how much?"

"A twenty."

Taking out his wallet, he sighs. "Twenty is a lot to get nowadays."

"Which is why I asked you." I say, rolling my eyes.

Handing me the money, I smile and stuff it into my hoodie pocket and put my eyes back on the now deserted road in front of us.

Making me jump slightly, I hear Cole yell, "AMELIA WATCH OUT!"
