You sit up next to Eliza with a confused expression.
"Yes Eliza? What is it?"
"W-Well......."
A few seconds of silence pass by, not welcoming the two of you warmly. Sweat is dripping from Eliza's neck and temple. She breathes in and out a few times.
"I......well ever since........I want........"
Eliza continues to stutter and spit out short words. Y/N giggles at the cuteness.
"Aww! Eliza don't be afraid to say something! I'm all ears!"
Eliza looks up at Y/N, her whole face carrying a heavy blush. She sighs and folds her hands together, placing them in her lap. She looks down at the floor.
"W-Well..........I.........."
Y/N smiles and continues to look at Eliza.
Just then, Y/N's phone goes off. Her cousin is calling her. She looks down at her phone then back at Eliza.
"I can call her back later if you want."
She closes her eyes and smiles.
"No no no. It's okay. I can tell you afterwards, it's your family."
You smile and raise an eyebrow.
"Are you sure? I won't take it if what you're trying to tell me is important."
"No it's okay! It's not very..........important."
You smile and sigh. You grab your phone, standing up and moving to the kitchen, then answering.
Eliza frowns and sighs, looking back down at the floor again.
'Jeez. Calm down Eliza. It's not like I'm asking Y/N to do something wrong! .......right?'
Eliza begins twiddling her thumbs, waiting patiently for Y/N to return. She crosses her legs and sighs again, she starts whispering to herself, practicing what she'll ask, and what she'll say.
A few minutes later, Y/N enters the room, placing her phone back on the coffee table. She sits back down, closer to Eliza than before. She smiles warmly at Eliza, causing heat to move up to her cheeks.
"Uh, Eliza? You okay? You look a little overheated."
Eliza looks at You, noticing deep concern in her eyes. Her eyes widen slightly, noticing she's worried You.
"I-I'm, I'm okay! I'm...........just a little nervous. That's all."
You tilt your head in confusion, then smile and takes Eliza's hand.
"What are you nervous about?"
Eliza looks down at her hand in yours. She sighs and looks at the ground, calming herself down. She tightens her grip against your hand and smiles.
"W-Well........I need to ask you something."
"I'm all ears."
She took a deep breath, and focused her mind.
"Y/N.....have you ever felt so deeply in love to the point where you don't understand what to do?"
Y/N thought for a second and scratched her temple for a moment.
"Not that I can recall. Why?"
"Well.....I've had a crush on this....girl....for a while. Ever since we met. But....I don't know how to confess."
Y/N smiled and removed her hand from Eliza's, then pulled her into a side hug.
"Well if you need advice, I can try to give you some. And whoever the girl is, she's very lucky to have you crushing over them!"
"R-Really? I doubt that..."
"Why? You're beautiful, inside and out. Why would you think any different?"
"W-Well.....I just.....don't know if she likes me back....."
"I'm sure she does! Why wouldn't she?"
"Well......she's never seemed all that interested in....well.....anyone really."
"Eliza, I have no doubt in my mind that whoever the girl is, she loves you more than you could ever imagine. So. Who is the lucky girl?"
Eliza swallowed and blushed, sweat trickling down her temple.
"My crush.....is.....you......you're my crush Y/N......"
Your eyes grew wide and a blush made its way across your face.
"Wh-what?"
"I like you- no. I love you Y/N. And I have ever since we first met. I'm sorry I've kept it secret for so long. I'm honestly surprised you didn't find out. And, I understand if you don't feel the same way, becau-"
Without thinking, you pressed your lips rather harshly against Eliza's, causing her face to turn the reddest its ever been. After pulling away, Eliza was frozen. You smiled and laughed slightly as she touched her lips.
"Eh...sorry Eliza."
"N-No, it's alright."
"It is? I figured you would've—mmph!"
Eliza kissed you again, this one more passionate, and longer. After a few seconds, you happily kissed back, wrapping your arms around her neck as she pressed you down on to the couch. You finally pulled away after some time, and both sighed, staring dreamily into each other's eyes.
"S-So, Y/N....does this mean....we're...."
"Dating? Yes, it does."
"R-Really?"
"Yeah! I mean....i-if you want to...."
"Of course I want to!!"
For the rest of that day and night, Eliza smothered you in kisses, you talked, and eventually, you both fell asleep, cuddling with each other with the TV playing in the background. You were fast asleep when Eliza kissed your cheek one last time before crashing, murmuring one thing.
"I love you Y/N....always and forever..."
