Annnndddd here it is. My final chapter in the book. I am so sorry that it ended.....for the chapter as well. I want to thank you guys for reading this far, although it did get stale part way. I appreciate all the votes and comments and please don't hesitate to vote when you read on later. In fact, I think this may be the last book of the series.

END Chapter 16: That final smile...........Lucy.

Natsu's POV

I stared at Lucy half-way across the guild. We came back from the resort this morning, so right now, I'm not sure what we're doing. She was talking to Levy, but I watched Lucy's expression and it didn't seem right.

It seemed off, per say. I saw Mira pass me.

"Hey, Mira!" I called out. She turned around and came to me.

"Yes? Need anything?" she asked.

"Is Lucy still taking her medication or is she done with it.......?" I asked.

"Hmmmm, Wendy should know. Look, there she is now!" exclaimed Mira, as Wendy approached.

"Wendy-san, is Lucy still taking her pills or is she done with it?" asked Mira, repeating my question to the young blue-haired girl.

"By right, Lucy is still supposed to take it. Her powers are over whelming and strong and her feeble body is not ready for it." explained the girl.

"So is she using it?"

"About that...........I don't think so. I mean, they have been left untouched ever since she returned. And she has been getting fat lately. And feeling upset......." said Wendy.

I froze. Does she even know this?! Why is she doing that, furthermore, why didn't she take it?! And those symptoms are scaring the shit out of me....

"Well will she be okay?" I asked. Wendy had a concerned look on her face. Mira was looking worried as well.

We heard Lucy's voice talking to Erza and Gray, and we looked over to see them. Lucy doesn't look fine to me.

"Oi, flame brain! Come over with Mira and Wendy will ya?!" called Gray across the room. We immediately went over, curious with what he has to say.

"No, Gray! It's okay!" scream-whispered Lucy, as she tugged on his arm.

"No, Lucy. this is for the best." said Erza. Happy and I exchanged glances.

"What's up?" I asked.

"We went to speak to Lucy earlier and she almost-----"

Lucy jumped onto Gray's back and blocked his mouth. Gray was stumbling with the sudden weight but regained his stance as he held onto Lucy's legs. He was talking but it was muffled.

"Didn't I tell you to shut up?!" she exclaimed. Gray used his strength and took her off, bringing her in front of him and holding her arms down.

"As I was saying. Lucy almost fainted if it wasn't for Erza who caught her quickly. Lucy just doesn't want anyone else to know because she doesn't want us to worry." explained Gray.
