After the Terrence situation Algee was tense and I was shaken up. I've never seen Algee get that crazy! It kinda scared me, not gonna lie. It was Monday again and I was waking up to the sound of my mom yelling my name.

"Wake up Akeelah!" She shouted. I groaned and got out of bed throwing the covers off of me. I walked over to my bathroom and took a quick shower before putting on my outfit for the day. I slipped on some skinny black jeans and a grey tank top with a black hoodie. I brushed my hair into a ponytail

I walked down the stairs and slumped down in my chair. My mom set a plate in front of me which was eggs, bacon and grits.

"Thanks mom" I said.

"No problem sweetie" She smiled.

"Where are Destiny and Dayana?" I asked.

"Sleeping, there school starts late today" She said.

"Oh" I replied eating my breakfast.

"What are you doing after school today?" She asked me.

"Probably gonna hang out with Algee" I said.

"Okay, but be back home by seven at the latest because I have to go out and you have to babysit Destiny and Dayana" She explained. I nodded my head while finishing the last bit of my food. I gulped down my orange juice and put my plates in the sink.

"I'll see you later" I said giving my mom a hug.

"Bye baby" She said grabbing her coffee and taking a sip.

I went outside and saw that Chanel was pulling into my driveway.

"Hey girl" I said.

"Hey boo" She replied.

I got in the car and shut the door after me. I buckled up and laid my head against the seat. Chanel turned up the radio and Rake It Up started playing.

"Ayeee" We both said at the same time. Chanel pulled out of my driveway and we were off to school.

We got out of the car and walked into the school. We went to our lockers and I grabbed my history book out of it since it was my first class.

"Girl I'll be right back, I gotta pee" She said. I laughed and nodded my head as Chanel walked away.

My phone rang in my back pocket and I took it out and saw that Algee was calling me.

"Hey babe" I said.

"Hey princess" He said. I blushed at his nickname that he calls me.

"Why aren't you at school?" I asked him.

"Oh my mom needs to run a couple errands for me before school" He replied.
